The just married Taiwan artist Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying)'s popularity continued to stand tall.  Earlier at the invitation of the Taiwan group May Day she made the first Chinese 3D concert film MAY DAY 3DNA and created a romantic story with Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) who played a taxi driver.  She herself looked forward to working her performance in the film through 3D glasses very much.  At the same time, her film with Eason Chan Yik Shun, LOVE IN SPACE (CHUEN KAU YIT LUEN) is currently in release and basically created a "Milk Tea vs. Milk Tea" situation.

May Day's MAY DAY 3DNA will officially open globally on September 16.  May Day earlier announced a city box office contest in Taipei.  Cities with the top three box office on opening weekends, May Day will perform new song concerts there first.  Thus May fans everywhere with their "resilient" undefeated spirit gave their all to launch group plans, which started a show booking fever for May Day's new film before its release.

Not only fan groups supported May Day, whenever year end and year start banquet took place May Day were the favorites of major technological companies.  Currently enterprise booking already reached 50 shows, with all Taipei cineplexes the booking figure has already passed 10,000 people.  The film already had almost 20 million before its release.  Aside from all the Taiwan fans' show bookings, fans from cities overseas also united.  In the Mainland fans in 56 cineplexes started almost 1,000 show booking events.  The response was shocking in places like Singapore after the premiere as show numbers kept rising.  In six major Malaysian cities like Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Penang, Brunei, Auckland, New Zealand, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Australia, fans followed suit as online calls for local fans to bring blue glow sticks to the cinemas to support May Day.  Hong Kong also has 20 cinemas for simultaneous release, creating the rare occasion of a Taiwan film simultaneously release overseas.

May Day wants to win an Oscar

Popular Taiwan group May Day two days ago arrived in Hong Kong and attended their written, directed and starred MAY DAY 3DNA film premiere.  May Day would stay in Hong Kong for two days then promote in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and others.  Because member Monster had to stay in Taiwan for sound adjustment at every cinema he could not come to promote in Hong Kong.  They said, "From the looks of Monster's Taiwan sound adjustment, he would able to he would make the Beijing event."  May Day said that the film shot the longest in Hong Kong, so May Day paid a lot of attention to the Hong Kong promotion.

The Giddens Ko directed YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE performed ideally at the Taiwan box office, would they feel any pressure? May Day said, "I hope everyone would have a chance to watch Taiwan films.  We have seen many Hong Kong films.  Earlier we also had the chance to work with Giddens Ko.  When he released his novel POEM OF POST ADOLESCENCE we released our record.  Watch Giddens Ko in 2D and May Day in 3D."  Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) had a part in the film, two days ago he had an accident during a rally race and was hospitalized.  May Day was shocked.  "I hope everything is fine.  In the afternoon we just saw Siu Chai's race online.  After the event we will contact him.  We are really worried."

Taiwan music group May Day's musical romantic film MAY DAY 3DNA will be released simultaneously in Asia on September 15.  This 3D film that spent 2 years and over NT$200 million to make earlier began advanced sales in Taiwan.  In Hong Kong May Day fans have booked entire shows.  May Day was very touched to learn about its fans' full support.  In return they will release the film's theme song remixed version music video OAOA on September 3; May Day even confirmed that on September 11 it will attend the Hong Kong premiere in appreciation of its supporters.
