Opening on the 26th, A BEAUTIFUL LIFE (BUT JOI YEUNG NEI GOO DAN) is the most tearful film in Shu Qi's career. The romance in the film is deeply touching. With actor Liu Ye's detailed performance, she can get into character very easily and perform to her fullest. In every crying scene she and Liu Ye shed real tears and absolutely never use a drop of eye drop for assistance. Sometimes when Shu Qi watches her performance on playback, she is still teary eyed. Shu Qi's most memorable film is telling the truth after drinking. Because she has always had quite a tolerance, this scene truly tests her acting abilities.
