Movie Box Review

Chrissie Chau Sau Na in her new film VAMPIRE WARRIORS (GEUNG SI SUN JIN SI) played father and daughter with Chin Siu Ho. In the film they had many martial art wire scenes, which were of course not difficult for Brother Siu Ho. Chrissie however honestly said that they were somewhat tough! However, Siu Ho praised Chrissie's strong ability to understand, intelligence and professionalism, stating that the girl was not just a "shell"!

VAMPIRE is already Chrissie's fourth film. Playing a vampire, Chrissie not only had to wear red contact lenses and fake teeth but also thick costumes in the heat. In the film she also had a lot of fight and wire scenes, she even injured her neck!

Which scene was the hardest? Chrissie said without hesitation. "In one scene I had to hang on wires from two stories up to the ground. Before the shoot I thought it would be very easy but actually it was very hard! Every time I landed I missed my mark, I almost ran into the camera. I am still shaken from that! In another scene I was completely upside down, during the shoot the gravity not only caused a wardrobe malfunction but also sent the blood rushing to my head. I was very dizzy and frustrated!" Although it was tough, Chrissie became interested in becoming an action actress. "After working with Brother Siu Ho and Brother Yuen Wah this time, I learned a lot about fight scenes. I learned that in a fight scene not only did I have to mind the action but also my voice and facial expressions. Now I know how to make a pretty pose without being all sissy. The result is even more convincing. This time I truly benefited a lot! Because of that I become interested in action, during the shoot I even learned self defense from Brother Siu Ho and Brother Yuen Wah. You know, I am working all the time and going home alone at night."

What is Brother Siu Ho's evaluation of Chrissie? He praised, "Although she is new, she is very willing to learn, very obedient, very professional, the most important is she is very smart, very able to comprehend. She is not just a shell, she also has something inside! She is very punctual on the set, she doesn't have to be rushed and invited. Honestly in my 30 years in the business I ran into many young actresses who were reluctant. They really thought the shoot was too

tough, turned around and ran!" Brother Siu Ho honestly said about Chrissie's past pictorial collection, "Honestly I really don't recognize more of the young models, but before working together I was able to recognize her. (Were you unable to recognize your son's former girlfriend

Mia?) Right! She came to the set and gave my a pictorial collection, I still haven't opened the seal on it yet!"

The Dennis Law Sau Yiu directed new film VAMPIRE WARRIORS (GEUNG SI SUN JIN SI) was not only a vampire film but also had a broke back vampire romance. In the film Chrissie Chau Sau Na and Jiang Luxia played a 100 year old pretty vampire and vampire hunter. Although this romance was not clear cut, but one look and one touch of the face hinted their relationship as extraordinary. In a bed scene, Chau Sau Na had to bite Jiang Luxia on the neck. Finally Chau Sau Na really bit Jiang Luxia's neck and even left teeth marks.

In the story Jiang Luxia asked Chau Sau Na to bite her and turn her into a vampire in order for her to defeat vampire elder Yuen Wah. For realism, Chau Sau Na truly bit. However because she bit too hard, she injured Jiang Luxia's neck and made her scream. Then a small bite mark was found on her neck. Chau Sau Na immediately apologized to Jiang Luxia, but the director was very satisfied with this shot. The crew joked that Jiang Luxia had a "curry chicken" (hickey). At first she did not understand and thought everyone was asking her to eat curry chicken. Later Chau Sau Na explained the meaning to her. Later she joked with Chau Sau Na, "Thank you for treating me to curry chicken."

They also had a bed scene when they exchanged intimate looks. Chau Sau Na pointed out that in the film their relationship was ambiguous, it was also her first same sex romantic scene. She also praised Jiang Luxia as very attentive. Although she looked tough she was very gentle inside. She was even gentler and more feminine than herself. Jiang Luxia joked that in the film she and Chau Sau Na never had any relationship that exceeded friendship but the emotions were complex. She did not resist lesbian friends because she had some. Actually they were no different from ordinary people. Because she always liked short hair she has been mistaken for a lesbian. She said that actually she liked to dress up too. She would not randomly find a boyfriend to dispel homosexual rumors. As for Chau Sau Na trying to achieve fame with her figure, Jiang Luxia said that some in the Mainland knew her. She thought that show business should have different styles. Chau Sau Na was very professional and with her good figure she had no reason to hide it.

Chrissie Chau Sau Na in VAMPIRE WARRIORS (GEUNG SI SUN JIN SI) had many scenes with Yuen Wa, who was after Chau Sau Na and Chin Siu Ho. Chin Siu Ho was no match for Yuen Wah, so Chau Sau Na lent a helping hand. She landed a bear hug from beghind and clamped Yuen Wa tightly with her legs. Finally she rocked Brother Wa dizzy, light on his feet and out of breath while Chau Sau Na injured her neck.

Chau Sau Na in the film had many action scenes, most of which she performed personally. In one scene in an abandoned slaughterhouse she and Chin Siu Ho battled Yuen Wah. Because Chin Wa was no match for Brother Wah, Chau Sau Na attacked Brother Wah from behind with both her arms and legs. As her legs were tightly cramped to Brother Wah, her arms grabbed Brother Wah's corn row head and covered his eyes as if they were wrestling. However with her limited abilities Chau Sau Na finally was thrown to the ground, which unexpectedly injured her neck. Chau Sau Na said, "I was instantly stiff. This scene took many takes and was pretty tough to make. During the rehearsal I was riding on Brother Wah, he kept spinning me, I was out of breath and my legs were numb." Speaking of her squashing Brother Wah with her chest, she laughed and said, "Yes, I was holding him tightly."

When asked about Chau Sau Na's chest crush, Brother Wa said, "Wow, the costume was so thick that I didn't feel anything. I only knew that during this scene I was dizzy because I had to spin around while carrying Chau Sau Na. However some people were envious that I was making a movie with Chau Sau Na."
