[2012.02.02] "PRETTY" ANTHONY WONG AND ANDY LAU WRECK HAVOC ON A SENIOR HOME

After success at several overseas film festivals, the Ann Hui On Wa directed, Andy Lau Tak Wa and Deanie Ip Tak Han starred A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) has been scheduled for a March 9 release.  Last year on Wa Jai's first day on the set, they shot on location at a Sham Shui Po senior home.  Seniors there might be up there in age but were very smart.  As soon as Wai Jai appeared, they asked with suspicion whether he was Lau Tak Wa.  Wa Jai responded with a smile, 'I am Lau Tak Wa!"  When they learned that Wa Jai came to make a movie, the seniors refused to nap as they wanted to watch the shoot.  The entire senior home became cheerful, Wa Jai even hummed Cantonese Opera for this group of smart fans.

At the senior home Wa Jai could not help but joked, "Having an elder at home is like having a treasure.  In front of me then are many treasures.  Actually before shooting at the senior home, I worried whether I would disturb their lives.  I was afraid that I would affect their rest.  However now I can relax, actually most of them are very active."  In the film the senior home boss Anthony Wong Chau Sun and supervisor Kung Shuet Fa also brought the seniors a lot of joy.  With an eye patch over his left eye and a long coat that resembled Mark Gor, Chau Sun joked with Wa Jai, "My costume is truly inspired.  Earlier when I went to the costume fitting, for fun I put on black nail polish.  Ann thought the look could have a little fun and finally put black nail polish on all my fingers.  When I went home I picked out a long coat to match and added to the boss' might.  Then today I come to work I realize my left eye is infected.  I was inspired and put on a eye patch to cover the red eye.  Thus this cyclops boss look is born, pretty yet easy on the eye?  Ha!"  Wa Jai also joked that only Chau Sun would be able to pull the look off, as he made an interesting pair with his employee Kung Shuet Fa.

When Kung Shuet Fa worked with Wa Jai, she often mispronounced her lines due to her less than fluent accent.  She made "undocumented South Asian Person" sound like "straw shaking blue tear pervert" and cracked up the entire set.  Aunt Fa said that she knew her acting was no match for Best Actors Wa Jai and Chau Sun, but she was fortunate enough to have the rare chance to work with them and Hui On Wa.  She was used to getting up early to watch the stock market open so the early call was not hard for her.  She even attentively asked her maid to make red bean dessert for the team.

[2011.12.13] LEON LAI'S NEW FILM WINS TRIPLE CROWN

courtesy of on.cc

The Leon Lai Ming, Zhang Hanyu, Anthony Wong Chau Sun and Liu Yifei starred film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON YIN) has been released in the Mainland for a week and reached 130 million at the box office to win the triple crown of total single week box office, admission rate and show quantity.  Director Daniel Lee Yan Kong was rather satisfied with the performance.  He said that WHITE VENGEANCE was not a historical documentary.  He did not need to follow the history books and recommended the chess match as the key of the entire film; at the game Fan Zeng almost drove Zhang Liang to his death, which displayed how much of a battle of wit the game was.

[2011.12.06] LIU YIFEI REJECTS LEON LAI'S LOVE

courtesy of on.cc
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Daniel Lee Yan Kong directed film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON IN) starred Leon Lai Ming, Zhang Hanyu, Feng Shaofeng, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Liu Yifei, Jordan Chan Siu Chun and others.  Lee Yan Kong pointed out that this film was not only the turning point of the Chu Han conflict, Xiang Yu and Consort Yu's love was classic among ancient romance.  Thus in this film he arranged for Feng Shaofeng who played Xiang Yu and Liu Yifei who played Consort Yu to die for love in the snow.  The Western Chu King and the Concubine's love was the most gut wrenching legend, this scene was made for the audience to cry.

Aside from Xiang Yu and Consort Yu's earth shattering love.  Lee Yan Kong in the film added Liu Bang's crush on Consort Yu because he thought Consort Yu was absolutely the most beautiful, there was no way that only Xinag Yu fell for her.  As Liu Bang in the film, Lai Ming joked that he secretly fell for Liu Yifei, but her love for Xiang Yu was like a swan.  Even if Liu Bang loved her, she only loved the King.  Director Lee Yan Kong said that to make the romantic element stand out in an "all male" film, the first condition was "quality over quantity" because the love between Xiang Yu and Consort Yu truly was etched into the bones, so tear jerking that seemingly no one could replace them.

[2011.09.29] HUANG YI IS HESITANT TO TRY TO LOVE AGAIN

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Huang Yi starred film WOMAN KNIGHT OF THE MIRROR LAKE will soon open.  Earlier she was interviewed along with her co-star Rose Chan Ka Wun.  They worked together again after THE LEGEND IS BORN: IP MAN (IP MAN CHIN JUEN), but this time they were no longer romantic rivals but close sisters.

In order to play the revolutionary heroine Qiu Jin well, Huang Yi did all her homework before hand.  She not only read many books about Qiu Jin but also practiced rolling on the ground for several hours to coordinate the character's literary and action sides, but because it was too tough she dropped to only 97 catties.  She said, "This character Qiu Jin was very hard to play because she did so much in her 34 years of life.  Aside from cultural pursuits, she also learned Wing Chun, spear, Japanese swords, horse riding, and even studied in Japan, operated a women independence daily newspaper, finally she grabbed a gun to the Revolution and made the ultimate sacrifice.  In historical books she only had a few lines but the more I understood Qiu Jin the more of a sense of duty because she was too strong."  Although it was tough she also gained something from the shoot.  Qiu Jin taught her to be independent, brave and strong.  As long as she was strong and tough inside she had nothing to be afraid of.  She said, "Relying on others doesn't work.  My way of living and handling things also changed.  When I used to run into some matters I would avoid, abandon or compromise, but now I would bravely face them.  Only by facing them could I change."  After a lightning wedding and divorce, has she let go of all her past?  She honestly said that for now she did not dare to try love again because love was beyond her control.  Thus she would focus on work and work hard to perform well.  She said, "I now am not prepared to open up my heart.  When fortune knocks, I don't have the courage to open up.  Right now the door is closed."

Rose earlier in THE LEGEND IS BORN: IP MAN played Huang Yi's romantic rival, but this time they played close sisters.  Huang Yi even saved her life.  In the film Rose played Huang Yi's speech impaired servant.  Because she could not speak she had to rely on expressions to act, which she thought was very special.  In the film she still had many action scenes, before which she had to learn swordsmanship.  Luckily during the shoot although she suffered injuries and bruises, they were minor.  This time elders Anthony Wong Chau Sun and Pat Ha Man Jik participated.  She honestly said that with Chau Sun on the set the pressure was enormous but she could take the chance to pick up a few tricks.  She also said that working with Ha Man Jik was very pleasant.  Although she could be her daughter, they had no generation gap at all and even got along great.  When they were not in a scene, they talked about astrology and dogs.  They even realized that they both were Scorpios!

Wa Jai two nights ago also invited his SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) co-star Xiaolong to perform flips and splits, fans applauded passionately.  Tsang Chi Wai two nights ago kept leading fans in screaming "Love Wa Jai For a Lifetime", which Wa Jai was very touched to hear and got teary eyed.  The climax of the evening must be the appearance of "Mama" Ip Tak Han.  Sister Deanie brought the Venice Best Actress award to the stage and said that she wanted to give it to Wa Jai.  Wa Jai honestly said that it was too much and he could not accept it.  In addition this award was too meaningful to Sister Deanie.  After going back and forth, Wa Jai accepted it, but would only take it home to display for two days then return it to Sister Deanie.  This fresh out of the oven Venice Best Actress even performed STAR.  Sister Deanie and Wa Jai's relationship was as close as mother and son.  Two nights ago she praised Wa Jai for his hard work.  In addition without Wa Jai, A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) would not have happened.  She wished Wa Jai winning the upcoming Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor and Best Picture with the film.  Wa Jai also wished "Mama" to keep winning with this film.

The Hong Kong Performing Art Academy's 25th commencement ceremony took place yesterday. With her years in the film industry Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga) received a honorary degree, Chung King Fai received a honorary drama doctorate degree, Joseph Koo Ka Fai received the honorary music doctorate degree and Peter Lam Kin Ngok received that honorary academy doctorate degree.

As the East Asia Entertainment boss, Lam Kin Ngok had the support of many company artists like Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Johnnie To Kei Fung, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Ivana Wong Yuen Chi, Wilfred Lau Ho Lung and Denise Ho Wan Si. Lam Kin Ngok's mother, children, Mr. and Mrs. Lam Kin Hong and Lam Kin Ming also
attended. Even Michelle who was linked in rumor with Lam Kin Ngok attended.

Lam Kin Nogk was asked whether he would like to share the doctorate degree with his father the most. He said of course, at night he would offer incense and he should be happy. His artists said that the boss had everything so they did not consider giving a gift. He said, "Since they were willing to sign with me, they don't need to. As long as Sammi doesn't give me a red bomb (wedding invitation) I am fine. I didn't hear any news, next time I would ask her for everyone." Lam Kin Ngok pointed out that everyone was like him and wanted to see them get married! Earlier Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi was rumored to sign with Lam Kin Ngok, but Mr. Lam explained that it was a film negotiation. How was the progress? He said that so far he has not seen Pak Chi. He said that the film will not start work until next year so he did not need to be in any hurry. Pak Chi is currently under marriage and family troubles, Lam Kin Ngok stressed that he would not add his opinion on other people's family matters. His only interest was in Nicholas Tse Ting Fung's sons to be in show business.

As a Christian Cheng Sau Man said that her gift to congratulate the boss' honorary degree was to spread the gospel to him. She also said that she was the biggest gift to the boss. Sammi said that everyone's achievement was different, she would not force herself to see anyone as a goal. Sammi and Andy Hui Chi On got back together. Earlier they visited Japan together. Sammi revealed that On Jai did not propose to her as rumored. She said that she did not long much for marriage. Currently their relationship was pleasant and did not need too much change. Did they try to have a baby on the trip? Sammi did not directly answer. "That sounds so vulgar, this is the Performing Art Academy. Asking like that is too daring." Would Sammi see the boss as a goal? She joked, "His figure? I don't want to develop sideways." Ho Wan Si joked, "You develop sharply, sharp sharp sharp!" Sammi responded that she developed flatly. She said that she would not have a big belly like the boss.

In addition, Cheung Ngai Ga's family, friends and disciples Angelica Lee Sinjie and Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) attended in support. Lee Sinjie pointed out that Lau Yeuk Ying had to work in Taiwan and left in a hurry. She said that the mentor's determination was worth learning from as she always saw her as a goal. To Kei Fung said that recently he has been busy with a film so he did not deliberately ask Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi to make a movie. He also did not pay attention to their marriage trouble news. Koo Ka Fai honestly said that he never thought about winning an award. Later he will celebrate with his family. Chung King Fai said that he would never retire.

[2011.05.07] CANDY LO TREMBLES WHILE HANGING 9 FLOORS UP

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) starred PUNISHED (BO YING) was the 13th Udine Far East International Film Festival closing film, but the leads were unable to attend due to work. Only director Law Wing Cheong attended.

Law Wing CHeong on the 7th at 10PM attended the closing film event at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine and shared his experience with viewers. This cinema was the largest there, with 1200 viewer occupancy. This show was already sold out. Law Wing Cheong also said that the enthusiasm of the Italians were somewhat unexpected, he was inevitably nervous as he did not know how their responses tonight would be.

The film had its share of cruel scenes. After Janice Man was buried earlier, another actress Candy Lo Hau Yam was not spared either. After years away from film Lo Hau Yam said that this film was very intense because she has not made a film in a long time. In one scene she hung dangerous from the roof 9 stories above and she had to perform the stunt personally, which to her was very memorable. The preparation was well done before the shoot because from 9 floors up any accident would be fatal. The team also prepared many safety nets on the 8th floor so Candy would not be trembling from fright despite being on wires. Candy said that luckily Siu Chai was very nice and took great care of her all the while and kept giving her confidence like a gentleman. Although Chau Sun looked cool, actually he was quite humorous. When he sensed that Candy was scared, he would surprise her with a joke to relax Candy for a moment.

[2011.05.05] RICHIE JEN BELIEVES IN KARMA

courtesy of singtao.com

Director Law Wing Cheong

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Johnnie To Kei Fung produced, Law Wing Cheong directed film PUNISHED (PO YING) opens today. Earlier Law Wing Cheong along with actors Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Janice Man Wing Shan were interviewed. Siu Chai complained to reporters that the director was
merciless. He not only beat him until he was begging for his life, one time falling metal almost hit him and the director asked him for another take. He was like a murderer. Thus the next time he directed, he definitely would make Law Wing Cheong the lead so he could properly return the favorite.

Siu Chai said that every time he made Law Wing Cheong's film he had to fight. Earlier with 2 BECOME 1 (TIN SUN YUT DUI) he and Chin Wa fought for three days. His head was swollen while Chin Wa injured her leg. He could not help but ask whether the director disliked him. This time Siu Chai played a bodyguard, naturally he had to fight. Finally he truly fought until he beg for his life. He recalled, "Once metal fell from above and almost hit my collarbone. At the time I was really scared, but the director asked him for another take. He truly is merciless, he has to know that I rely on my face to make a living! He is just like a murderer." Siu Chai honestly said that if in the future he had money to direct, he definitely would ask Law Wing Cheong to be the lead and also asked Ah To to participate. He even suspected Law Wing Cheong suffered too much with Ah To so he took it out on actors. Law Wing Cheong denied that he took it out on actors and said, "Ah To tortures him even worse! I am OK!" However he agreed for Ah To be the actor so he could experience how tough it was. He suggested, "With Ah To, he won't need to be hit or yell at, just fill his entire body with reaction bullets. He always says he wants to play a hit man in movies!" Siu Chai also said that he believed in karma. This time he was lucky enough to escape the metal fall because he did a lot of good deeds.

Janice Man did not have much movie experience but many scenes in the film had to done for real. For example she truly had to lie in the dirt for the burial and relied only on the tube on her back to breathe; she also had to pretend to take drug with glucose, took a slap from
(Anthony Wong) Chau Sun, a kick to the chest. The scene in which Chau Sun slapped her, Chau Sun suggested to slap her earlier for her most natural reaction. Thus her reaction was the most realistic. She said, "Every time was for real. Chau Sun slapped me eight times because it had to coordinate with different camera angles. (Was your face swollen?) It was very red! I didn't apply ice, only mask!" She also said that even though form day one she knew that the performance would be real, she never thought it would be so real. Would she be afraid of making movies? She said, "No, instead after the production I am even braver so I should thank the director."

Law Wing Cheong thought Janice Man's performance was OK for a film industry new comer. She was very smart, able to understand the importance of each scene. However he would not go easy on her because of that, otherwise he could not achieve the result that he wanted. Janice Man was not only smart but also ran into good co-stars. Law Wing Cheong said that Chau Sun helped her a lot. At first she was very afraid of Chau Sun. Janice Man said, "When his fire rages it is frightening, I as a new comer of course would be afraid. Yet the more frightened I was the less smooth the performance was, so I told myself not to be afraid." In addition, this time Chau Sun and his son Wong Yat Yat performed together for the first time. Yat Yat's performance was a pleasant surprise to the director, but Yat Yat's dream was to become a doctor. He had no interest in following his father's footstep in show business.

[2011.04.28] JANICE MAN IS HORRIFIED ABOUT BEING BURIED

courtesy of takungpao.com

Janice Man Wing Shan in PUNISHED (BO YING) thought that the most horrifying scene was when she was buried. In the film she was buried, her father Anthony Wong Chau Sun and assistant Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) arrived and had to dig her out. She said, "This time I really came back from the dead, which made me learn to cherish life even more."

Janice Man said that the character make up was very fresh to her. However she was the most horrified when she learned that she had to buried. At first when she heard about this scene she did not have much feeling, but when she arrived at the actual set to prepare for the shoot her heart started to pound. In particular before the shoot rain just came down, the dirt was very moist. After the rain many worm type creatures would appear in the dirt. She has always been afraid of bugs so lying on the ground was very horrifying for her. She said, "This was a very memorable experience. I would never forget about this in my life." The scene took all night to shoot. After she got home and spent a hour in the shower.

Chau Sun and Siu Chai who were used to action films did not have too many difficulties with this film, but to keep Janice Man from hardship Chau Sun hoped to dig her out in the shortest time possible and did not think about anything else. Thus that night Janice Man were particularly nice to Chau Sun and Siu Chai, because they saved her life.

[2011.04.22] ANTHONY WONG: THIS GROUP WILL BE ELIMINATED

Jingle Ma Chor Sing

courtesy of on.cc

A Mainland director organization earlier issued a draft that listed actors who were tardy, arrogant or changed scripts on their own and suggested for directors to avoid casting problem actors! Anthony Wong Chau Sun who has witnessed an actor drunk at work honestly said that Mainland on and off screen must pay attention to the problem of irresponsibility, otherwise the market would eliminate them.

China broadcast television association television series director committee secretary Yan Jiangang earlier stated that the association was drafting a list that mainly targeted actors who "took high salary but did not live up to the contract duties; tardy; disrespected co-stars; impacted normal production with guest starring roles in other film and television production; unreasonably asked for high salary; changed scripts on their own; insulted and yelled at directors; threatened with 'strike'".

Although the list was not publicized and was only provided to directors, reportedly many top Mainland artists were on the list. Yan Jiangang yesterday clarified that the association would only issue self imposed standards and not issue an actor blacklist.

Hong Kong artist Wong Chau Sun honestly said that Mainland actor ethic quality was mixed. He said, "They weren't just late. Some even came to work drunk. The industry developed too fast, many without ethics called themselves actors. Although the market would naturally eliminate this group of people, someone willing to bring attention to the issue is good. Actually the industry has too many irresponsible people, whether they are actors, directors, behind the scene. This way no one would improve."

Director Jingle Ma Chor Sing said, "Luckily I haven't run into actors with many demands, but I have heard about actors changing scripts, picking co-stars, some asked the team to provide 100 eggs daily when they shot in remote mountain regions. Who knows what they wanted them for! Some third or fourth tier artists demanded luxury cars to take them into the city. They were unwilling to ride in a van."

[2011.04.21] JANICE MAN "LEARNS SOMETHING" AT THE HANDS OF ANTHONY WONG

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Janice Man Wing Shan in the film PUNISHED (PO YING) played a unscrupulous wealthy businessman Anthony Wong Chau Sun's rebellious daughter. Because her mother died when she was young, she lacked fatherly love and would always oppose Chau Sun. In the film she had to take drug and be on the receiving end of a slap from Chau Sun. She absolutely made sacrifices for the film. Luckily Chau Sun held back and did not damage her pretty looks.

Janice Man suffered in a variety of ways for this performance. More memorable for her was the drug scene. Although the team arranged for healthy glucose powder as prop, she remained nervous because she had to inhale the powder through her nose. She said that it felt very strange. Luckily before hand the director gave her a lot of drug video for research and she picked it up very quickly. However Janice said that taking drug was child's play, the most painful was Wong Chau Sun's slap. The scene took over 8 takes and Chau Sun slapped her 8 times. She said, "Brother Chau Sun didn't hold back, he said that in his years in the business he was very used to hitting people and getting hit. However I thought it really hurt. It's the first time I got slapped so many times. Getting slapped by Brother Chau Sun was worth it, I learned something."

[2011.04.20] JANICE MAN SUFFERS ABUSE AT THE HANDS OF LAM LEI

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of takungpao.com

Janice Man Wing Shan, Candy Lo Hau Yam, Lam Lei and director Law Wing Cheong yesterday promoted their new film PUNISHED (BO YING) on Metro Radio. In the film Janice played Anthony Wong Chau Sun's daughter who suffered abuses after Lam Lei kidnapped her. She was not only beaten but also forced fed incense ash. The director said, "The kidnapper probably wouldn't feed you dessert." Lam Lei also said that during the performance he could not hold back. Janice honestly said that she was injured a little but would rather be a little more realistic. As for the most dangerous scene, she was tied to a chair and the kidnapper had to kick her along with the chair into the air. Did she use a double? She said, "Yes, but the double only demonstrated. I did my own stunt. I trusted the director so I gave my all."

Although Lam Lei had to hit Janice, he was not comfortable. In one scene he had to kick Janice, after a dozen kicks or so his leg was also injured. In addition during his fight scene with Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), everyone was injured. Law Wing Cheong worked with Janice for the first time. He praised her as very smart, in particular her scared expression was very well performed. Janice explained that because she really was scared. Candy had one scene in which she, Wong Chau Sun and Siu Chai jumped from the second floors on wires. She tripped and was injured, afterward she did not dare to let her mother know. Janice at the Hong Kong Film Award won Best Dressed. She said that before hand she did not know that the event had this award so it was a surprise.

Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Janice Man Wing Shan, Maggie Cheung Ho Yi, Lin Li and others last night attended the film PUNISHED (BO YING) world premiere. Wong Chau Sun's son Wong Yat Yat guest starred in the film as Chau Sun's son, but he was very shy. At first he did not dare to pose for photos on stage and later only posed for a group photo. Director Law Wing Cheong said that the biggest pleasant surprise was Yat Yat. Did Chau Sun communicate with his son about acting at home? He said that he did not need to, the director would take care of that. He joked that actually yelling everyday was not advisable, it had to be done like in the film to avoid any issue. He jokingly said to his son, "Please forgive me for sometimes crossing the line."

Later Chau Sun and his son were interviewed. He said that reporters followed his son recently, thus he brought him out to meet everyone at once. He also hoped that no one would follow his son to school, which would affect his education. Did Yat Yat forgive his father? He said that Papa actually was not mean. Speaking of this film, he said that at first he was very nervous, gradually he was OK. However Yat Yat said that he was not interested in acting again because his goal was to become a cosmetic surgeon.

Earlier Wong Chau Sun posted a photo with god son Edison Chen Koon Hei, resulting in online criticism that like father like son and accusations that both were promiscuous. Chau Sun angrily responded, "Who am I promiscuous with now." Chau Sun pointed out that this time was not considered angry. He said, "In 500,000 people one or two have to be crazy. Other people online yelled at them back and triggered a war of words. They are all crazy, no need to mind them." He honestly said that he talked fashion collaboration with Chen Koon Hei but not yet about movies. Chau Sun also said that God Son's mood actually has already been settled. Everyone had stages in level and could learn from setbacks. Isabella Leong Lok Si was rumored to return to Hong Kong at the end of the year. Chau Sun said that she has not mentioned it. Even if she came back to Hong Kong to visit relatives it did not mean that she would stay.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa last night came in support. She joked that since she worked with director Law Wing Cheong on two films, if she did not come she was afraid of being punished. In the film Siu Chai had many fight scenes. She said, "He is so cool, Men are cool like that." Would she make any fight scene? She said that if she was pregnant how could she, she should not take the role then become pregnant. She would properly plan. In addition, this film passed Mainland inspection without any editing. Man Wing Shan was very happy and appreciative, all the hard work was worth it.

Yesterday the casts attended the 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival press conference and shared their production experience.

Ha Man Jik on stage said that he was very happy to work on this film, during which her state of mind also matured. She admired very much the director's understanding of women's state of mind. Ng Ka Lai said that sometimes she would come up the lines with other actresses. For example the line with "gutter cleaning" came from her and several actresses. She felt that women sometimes would feel lonely too and needed to "cleaned". She worried whether the dialogue would pass inspection but it did not have any foul language. Did Ng Ka Lai have such a need? She said that she did not and later joked that she did. She pointed out that the director wrote lyrics for the movie theme song that was very fitting. Sandy Lam Yik Lin performed it. Many praised it after hearing it.

Ng Ka Lai was asked whether she thought about going off the rail in real life. She said of course she could not because people would talk if she was recognized. In addition she was a public figure and could do so even less. Ha Man Jik heard from friends that the Mainland and Taiwan also had these stores. Earlier Chan Wai Ting also observed one in Hong Kong. However she could not accept it. She joked that even if she went it would not have gigolos who were as handsome as Chan Wai Ting.

Yip Shuen dressed up for the occasions. Her chest had a red mark, which she explained as irritation from being too tired. She said that in the film she had many intimate scenes with Ha Man Jik. In one scene as soon as she finished her lines, she cried. She said that in the film she
had to hold Ha Man Jik, kiss her and coax her. It was truly quite a huge challenge. Would she turn bisexual after the shoot? She joked, "I would think of her and have loving feeling." Who had a better figure between her and Ha Man Jik? She said of course Ha Man Jik. She also said that she was under a lot of pressure while making this film, in particular getting intimate with women. Ha Man Jik after learning that her figure was praised said returned the favor. She also praised that Yip Shuen's performance touched her. Yip Shuen started at TVB, would she return home to make a series? She said that now with film work she would not talk about that. Was she avoiding rumors with new TVB owner Chan Kwok Keung? She said that it was not true and she would not respond.

Chan Wai Ting said that this time the intimate scenes felt like fight scenes, physically challenging. Was he afraid that his girlfriend Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin would be jealous? He said that his girlfriend was used to major events so she would not be. Would he accept his girlfriend's intimate scenes? He said that he would understand, actors needed to open their hearts.

Wong Chau Sun, Yam Yin Chai, Cheung Ho Yi and other yesterday attended the Hong Kong International Film Festival press conference to promote their new film PUNISHED. Wong Chau Sun in the film played a rich man. The host asked whether it was difficult. He joked that it was not. Was he very obedient of the director's orders? He said that it was not about being obedient and joked that only talented actors would be able to accomplish it. However after the event Chau Sun left without any interview.

Yam Yin Chai in the film played Chau Sun's bodyguard. He said that he and Lin Li had many street fights, but his poor Cantonese turned it into chicken fights. Yam Yin Chai said that in one scene Man Wing Shan was buried. At the time he saw many worms nearby and did not dare to tell her as he was afraid of scaring her. Afterward he did not dare to tell her either. Man Wing Shan said that in the film Chau Sun, Lin Li slapped her at least eight times. Did she want to hit them for revenge? She said that she did not dare to hit them. She said that this time she learned a lot and never thought that she would be able to successfully pass this round. She also said that she has never been slapped before so they were very memorable.

[2011.02.27] ISABELLA LEONG ANNOUNCES BREAK UP WITH RICHARD LI

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Already the mother of three children with Richard Lee Jat Kai, Isabella Leong Lok Si yesterday suddenly issued a letter to the media. Just as everyone thought that she was about to marry rich, she revealed that she and Lee Jat Kai have broken up, but they would raise the children together because their common goal was for the children to grow up happy and healthy. She also would like to stop all the endless speculation and conjecture of them from the outside.

Last night around 6PM, Isabella suddenly issued a letter to the media. "To all media friends, as a new year begins, I wish everyone all the best in your endeavours and further improvement. In 2011, I personally have also entered a new stage of life. Mr. Lee Jat Kai and I have broken
up. We once had a beautiful time together. We will raise our children together. Their happy and healthy growth is our common goal. Also, I would like to end all the endless speculation and conjecture about us outside. - Leong Lok Si, February 26 2011"

Currently 22, Isabella in 2007 while working on THE MUMMY 3 THE TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR through Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) met the city's top bachelor Richard Lee Jat Kai. Although they had a 20 year age different, Lee Jat Kai fell in love at first sight with Isabella. She also preferred mature man and finally they got together. Isabella at the time with ISABELLA won a Porto Film Festival Best Actress and had a contract with Emperor. Reportedly Lee Jat Kai paid 100 million as compensation on her behalf to resolve the contract problem. In 2009 Isabella in Canada gave birth to son Lee Cheung Chi, the family of three even issued photos to the media. Last June Isabella again gave birth to twin sons. Since then she rarely appeared in Hong Kong but shared her life with her son online.

Because Isabella already gave birth to three songs to the Lee family, outside speculated that she will soon marry rich. Earlier Lee Ka Shing reportedly rebuilt his Deep Water Bay mansion, leaving the fourth floor for younger son Lee Jat Kai's family of five. Yet recently a magazine caught Isabella chatting with a handsome man in a Toronto bar for three hours and even claimed that because Lee Jat Kai could not be with the family for a long period of time she could not be lonelier. Thus when Isabella revealed the break up, everyone thought it was over a third party. Reporters contacted her Hong Kong spokesperson Lo Mik Shuet, who stressed that their break up was unrelated to the earlier magazine report. She even said that the report barked up the wrong tree. "The man in the photo is Bella's elementary school classmate. Richard has met him before and dined with him. Everyone are very close friends, I feel linking the break up with this is very unfair to Bella! (Are Bella and the children in Vancouver?) They are overseas. (Will she return to Hong Kong and make a comeback?) None of those will be the most important thing for her to consider right now. Her focus will be on the children because they are still young." She also praised that Lee Jat Kai and Isabella were above board, not only did they share their children's births but also their break up. They would not sneak away.

Chapman To Man Jat made ISABELLA and was close to Isabella. About her break up announcement, Ah Jat said that he was not surprised. He felt that people were either together or apart, and life was unexpected. He honestly said that he did not have any comment and reiterated that love was like this, either together or apart; however he believed that every couple definitely had a reason to break up. Has he called Isabella to console her? He said that he did not much about the matter, perhaps he would call her later. Ah Jat also pointed out that Isabella was a very strong girl, so he would not be too worried about her and believed that she would know to handle it. He said, "It's very minor. (Would you like her to make a movie comeback?) That depends on her decision, I have no comment."

Anthony Wong Chau Sun became closer to Isabella during the ISABELLA production and occasionally had contact. Yet yesterday Chau Sun through his assistant said that he would not respond to other people's personal matter, this was their decision and he would respect them.

[2011.01.22] ANTHONY WONG ATTENDS A PERFORMING ART ACADEMY MEETING

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Anthony Wong Chau Sun yesterday as the Hong Kong Performing Art Academy Alumni Association president along with Director Kevin Thompson, School of Film and Television director Shu Kei and some students held a school meeting. After the meeting Chau Sun was surprised to see different media on hand. Reporters received notice that Chau Sun wanted
to hold a settlement meeting. Chau Sun said, "Do you know who notify you? Lately we received some anonymous letters. If you don't know who they are then they are anonymous! I don't need to pay attention to them!" Chau Sun explained that this meeting was held because some students questioned the school of film and television, so a meeting was held to resolve the issues. Since the matter was internal it was not at liberty to be discussed. The matter has not developed to the point of media statement. Reporters said that someone wanted to create negative rumors. Was he worried about similar matter? Chau Sun honestly said that he would not eliminate the possibility, but felt that if the person wanted to make a statement to the public before the issue was resolved the behavior would be rather naive.

In addition, some questioned Shu Kei's lack of education to be a school director. Chau Sun joked, 'The entire world lacks education! If Lee Ka Shing says that he would teach you to make money, would you learn? I would!" Chau Sun honestly said that this meeting hoped that everyone would communicate during misunderstandings. this is a bridge that is fair and would not favor any side. Has Shu Kei responded to the questions? He said that very clearly, he remained very open, fair and transparent.
