Irene Wan Bik Ha, William Chan Wai Ting, Michelle Wai (Si Nga), Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung, Patrick Tam Yiu Man and others yesterday attended their new film JAT JIK (PROMOTION) production start ceremony.  Irene said that in the film she will play the big sister of Wise Guys for the first time in the film.  She revealed that she has been bad when she was young, but after getting into the business she ended this type of life.  Luckily she did not take any misstep.  Now she would take care of her adopted son so he would not turn bad.

Chan Wai Ting and Si Nga again will play a couple after EX (CHIN DOH).  They also will have bed scenes, but Si Nga revealed that since she did one before she was not afraid.  She did not want to make this type of scenes too much, luckily the director was understanding and removed the rape scene.  Chan Wai Ting in the film kept fighting and killing.  He said that earlier the director even took him to dine with people in the mob to gain experience.  He continued, "I will have tattoos all over, one of which will look like Si Nga.  (Will he get a tattoo with your girlfriend Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin?)  No!  Now I regret getting a tattoo very much because it affects work a lot."  He hoped that everyone would focus on his work and decided to talk like about her.

William Chan Wai Ting might not have started as an actor, but due to his looks and potential his past film characters like EX (CHIN DOH)'s unfaithful boyfriend who was stuck between Gillian Chung Yun Tung and Michelle Wai (Si Nga) and HI, FIDELITY (CHOOK GWAI DIK NUI YUN)'s twin brothers left deep impressions.  In order to William to go even further in the film industry, Emperor Motion Pictures decided to make a Wise Guy story TRIAD (JAT JIK) and even tailored a character to him.  It hoped to make him a Dior Cheng Yi Kin successor and a new generation of Wise Guy.

JAT JIK's story reportedly will be very different from past Wise Guy movies.  The story will mainly revolve around how a group of ambitious Wise Guys fight for promotions, the subject is extremely controversial; in order to make William's character stand out, director Daniel Chan Yik Hung deliberately made him a Harvard University student who moved up the ranks in the mob with his brain.  The mob "family punishment" scene would even challenge film standards as William would not only be take a brutal beat on his upper body but also severe injury on his lower body.

William said, "The story hasn't been confirmed yet, so I won't talk about it yet.  We are still talking in meetings."  He admitted that he did not a lot of homework for his new film.  "As a Wise Guy, I have to be big.  The last few months I have been in training and on a diet in order to achieve eight pack abs."  The lead actress will be Emperor artist Si Nga who will play William's girlfriend.

Twins yesterday promoted their early March album release on the radio.  Because later they will have to begin their film work, they have to grasp the time to promote.  Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin revealed that she will start work on her film in March, she was happy because this time the shoot will mainly take place in Hong Kong except for a few days in the Mainland.  Gillian Chung Yun Tung in April will have to shoot in the
Mainland in April the nwork on a television series.  Due to confidentiality Ah Gil said that a lot of the film details could not be revealed yet.  She only revealed that she will work with an amazing actor in the film.  He is not an actor from either side of the strait and is married.  She stated that she and Ah Sa both liked to watch his films.  Ah Sa even joked that she has already put her name down, she would not mind even playing pedestrian A.  She said that she really wanted to visit the set, if he had time she might go with her boyfriend William Chan Wai Ting.

The 2011 JADE SOLID GOLD BEST TOP MUSIC AWARDS took place last night at the Tseung Kwan O Television City as the final report card of the music industry this year.  Although the five major record labels have already resolved the royalty issues with TVB, they did not make it in time to have songs on the chart.  As for the Asia Pacific Most Popular Male and Female Singers and the Most Popular Male and Female Singer awards, TVB's own Raymond Lam Fung won the Asia Pacific Most Popular Male Singer award for the third year in a row and with the song CHOK won the Solid Gold Gold Song award.  Wong Yuen Chi surprisingly won her first Asia Pacific Most Popular Female Singer.  Leo Ku Kui Ke won his fourth Most Popular Male Singer.  The Most Popular Female Singer went to Joey Yung Cho yi for the seventh time.  Joey this year won 14 awards at four award shows and defeated Eason Chan Yik Shun who won 12.

Last night Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Amigo Chu Kin Bong, Christine Ng Wing Mei and the Grasshoppers were hosts.  Among the five major record labels, Warner and Sony executives were on hand, but only 70 singers attended.  Mainly Emperor held down the fort.  Five major singers Eason Chan Yik Shun, Kay Tse On Kay and Hacken Lee Hak Kun remained without awards.  The award show opened with a group of rookie singers and the Grasshopppers' performance, then immediately presented the first Solid Gold award to the Grasshoppers.  Without five major singers, Pong Nan Yik Bong, Wong Cho Nam, Ken Hung Cheuk Lap and William Chan Wai Ting were all in the front row.  Even Chan Wai Ting who only wrote one song won the Most Popular Creative Singer Bronze Prize.

Asia Pacific Most Popular Hong Kong Male Singer went to Lam Fung for the third time as he defeated the earlier rumored winners of the Grasshoppers and Leo Ku Kui Ke.  When Lam Fung was announced, Lady Ng could not help but screamed Chok King.  He stated that the first time he won this award he forgot to thank many people.  The most important was for him to thank a group of people who trusted him and gave him opportunities.  He said, "I don't mind too much about how I feel, what I mind the most is the feeling that I give them."  He also thanked TVB for cultivating him all along and thanked elders like Ng Yu.  He also thanked all of his fans who never abandoned him.  He also hoped that all the singers would be together again on the stage and perform better year after year.

Asia Pacific Most Popular Female Singer went surprisingly to Ivana Wong Yuen Chi for the first time as she defeated the earlier rumored winner Joey Yung Cho Yi.  When the host announced Wong Yuen Chi, she was stunned in the audience and said not to scare her and said to Gillian Chung Yun Tung who was next to her, "No way."  She said that this was a great award.  She had to calm down and think about what to say.  Then tearfully she said that all along she put all her heart into making good music, from the first day in the business to today the seventh year.  She has never thought about winning any major award.  She wanted to thank people who encouraged her.  She also thanked TVB, East Asia Records, fans and the entire music team.  She said, "if some feels that I have to work even harder, I will do my best to fulfill the singer duty."  Wong Yuen Chi after performing received a standing ovation from the singers.

The Most Popular Female Singer went to seven time winner Yung Cho Yi, an expected result.  When Lee Hak Kun presented the award to Joey, Joey said to him, "You come back.  The first year when he and I won an award, that was when he got married.  Now he has two sons.  I really feel very happy, thank you TVB for encouraging me again.  Many people said that since it wasn't the first award, aren't you used to it?  Actually no, this year I worked very hard on learning to play the guitar, spent a lot of time to communicate with music.  Hopefully next year I would reach this destination."  The Most Popular Male Singer went to four time winner Ku Kui Ke.  On the stage he thanked Emperor and TVB and said that 18 years ago when he released his first record, he was a kid who really liked singing.  Now he will produce his Cantonese and Mandarin record, make his own music video.  Now he not only liked, he loved his music job very much.  He tearfully said, "In recent years at Hong Kong award shows, everyone's attention has been on who competed with who, the power struggle between companies and less on the effort and hard work that singers paid.  I started to get a little confused on the meaning of attending ceremonies, but when I brought the awards to celebrations, company colleagues would be very excited and emotional, every year I would go to fan club meetings and bring this award for fans to take pictures with.  I saw how happy the fans were, and I realized that to them it was very important."

The Solid Gold Gold Prize went to Lam Fung's CHOK.  Lam Fung said that this award did not belong to him but to all of Hong Kong, because Chok was a creation of Hong Kong.  He said, "I want to thank very much musicians who have worked very hard with me this year.  This year I have experienced a lot of rises and falls, hopefully everyone will bring my Chok back.  Next Year I will Chok for everyone again."  Last night Yung Cho Yi and Lam Fung both won four awards.  With the earlier Metro Radio, Radio Hong Kong and Commercial Radio and last night's TVB music awards, Yung Cho Yi won 14 awards and defeated Chan Yik Shun with his 12 awards to become the year's big winner.

When Joyce Cheng Yun Yi received the Most Popular Female Rookie silver prize, she broke down in tears and joked that she did not have looks, figures or long legs, but she would continue to work hard.  This award was a good start.  She also thanked her mother Lydia Shum Din Ha.  The Female Rookie Gold Prize winner Lam Yun Tung was teary eyed.  When Ng Wing Mei announced her friend Cheung Chi Lam's Solid Gold award, she screamed in excitement and pointed out that her good friend waited for 20 years and finally got it.  Cheung Chi Lam thanked TVB and his company and also said that he only took a small step forward.  Guest performers included Tat Ming, Sally Yeh (Yip Sin Man), Jeff Chan Shun Jit and five major's Hacken Lee Hak Kun.

William Chan Wai Ting yesterday attended an event with model Ana R. and others.  He revealed that he will work on a mob film and play a story about an university student who becomes a mob boss.  The director and the screen writer have already arranged for several dinners with him and a real retired mob boss for an understanding of the history then.  Thus he was somewhat unsettled and very nervous.  Would he have his assistant by his side?  William said, "Mine is a female assistant, she said that she didn't dare to go.  Such dinners between men aren't right for a woman to be at."  Would he have to use foul language?  William said, "Everyone feel that it would, but maybe in reality they spoke very politely.  (Would you have tattoos all over?)  I probably won't be able to escape the designs of dragons, tigers and leopards."

Raymond Lam Fung, Julian Cheung Chi Lam, William Chan Wai Ting, Mag Lam Yun Tung and Jade Kwan Sum Yin were among the performers at the Yan Oi charity show in Tseung Kwan O Television City.  Lam Fung recently has been busy with the new film SAVING GENERAL YANG (JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG) in the Mainland.  Due to the strong sand storms, he joked that his skin was smoothed out from sand.

Despite that, Lam Fung said that everyone had a lot of fun on the set.  They set up a camp and cooked on location, but actually they asked their assistant to help.  He, Wu Chun and others were only responsible for
ordering the dishes, but Wu Chun was responsible for making desserts.  Lam Fung said that he ate everyday so he did not lose weight.

Chan Wai Lam revealed that he will work on a mob film, the details of which will be announced later.  He said that he kept watching mob films in these few weeks to absorb acting.  Did he join a gang in school?  He
said that he has fought with such people.  In Form four or five he saw younger students being recruited and helped, but finally the school punished him and he was a little angry.

William Chan Wai Ting and Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi two nights ago attended a Causeway Bay beer festival.  Cheng Hei Yi in November will work with Nicholas Tse Ting Fung on a film in the Mainland.  Would she
introduce good girls to Ting Fung?  She pointed at herself and said, "The best one is me."  She said that after knowing Ting Fung for years she knew that was not important to him.  In addition Ting Fung was an otaku who
did not even like to go out and eat, so he might be happier if she introduced a video game friend to him.  Would she consider dumping her current boyfriend to try and date Ting Fung?  She said, "He indeed is a super value property, handsome and accomplished in his career.  However dating him brings too much pressure.  He is here to be worshipped."

JADE SOLID GOLD taped two nights ago with William Chan Wai Ting, Jade Kwan Sum Yin, Mag Lam Yun Tung, Hotcha, Samuel Toi and others.  Chan Wai Ting revealed that later he will make a Wise Guy movie.  He said that he has always been a YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI) fan and envious of Dior Cheng Yi Kin's chance to play Chan Ho Nam.  This time he finally fulfilled his dream of playing a Wise Guy.  Now he had to lose weight as he hoped to shape up.  Earlier when he made a Mainland film his weight rose to 170 pounds and his face was much rounder.

Ekin was afraid that playing a Wise Guy would affect his image.  William said that seeing Ekin's success he knew that there was no effect.  Would he need to have tattoos?  He said that he had four real tattoos already, but he would not mind more for the movie.  William said that he would not get a love tattoo or a couple tattoo because he knew that his girlfriend Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin would not get one.

Lam Yun Tung recently had a part in the Joey Yung Cho Yi starred film DIVA.  Joey earlier attended the press conference and the host described her as a "box office poison".  Was she afraid of becoming poison?  Lam Yun Tung said that she would not have any box office pressure because it was beyond her control.  She could only do her part and she believed Joey would as well.  Did Joey complain to her?  She said no, she believed that Joey would not mind.  The host just wanted to create some cheer.  This time in the film she would not have any kiss or bed scene.  Who would she like her first on screen kiss to go to?  Lam Yun Tung said that she never thought about it.  Would she like to give it to her rumored boyfriend Sheldon Lo (Law Hau Yung)?  She joked, "I want to give it to a dog."
