In memory of Japan earthquake, "Love without border 311 candle light evening" will take place tonight in the Victoria Park. Hosts Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Carol Cheng Yui Ling, Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga) and Alice Chan Mei Ling yesterday rehearsed. Chan's Japanese husband also came to support his wife.

Chi Wai said that the event will take at 7:05PM and last 3 hours. The venue has memorial areas where people can place cards. At the same time the event also set up 150 donation pledge lines, 10 of which would be in Japanese for the Japanese people who reside in Hong Kont to donate. The numbers would be 1833288 (Cantonese) and 1833123 (Japanese).

Do Do suggested for attendees to bring their own blankets, water and such because the venue would not set up seating. Chi Wai also urged attendees to bring bags to clean up after themselves with and keep the venue tidy. Confirmed artists included Joey Yung Cho Yi, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Andy Lau Tak Wa, George Lam Chi Cheung, Alan Tam Wing Lun and Wynners, Korea's Kwon Sang-Woo also agreed to attend. Taiwan artists would include Sky Wu (Ng Si Hoi) and Jon Lee Chung Sing. Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Kelly Chen Wai Lam, Ken Watanabe, Masahiko Kondo, and Nina Ricci also prepared video call for pledges.

According to Jackie Chan, Chi Wai and Andrew Lau Wai Keung argued over the theme song recording. Chi Wai said, "It was nothing special, everyone had an opinion before and after the arrangement. Everyone just wanted to do what was good for the event." Was artist assignment
difficult? He said, "The most important was everyone was comfortable, if they could come they could participate. We couldn't hold anyone up. The Hong Kong artists were great, they didn't mind what they sang." Chen Wai Lam who just suffered a miscarriage supported the event with a video recording. Chi Wai said, "Kelly was always willing to do the video, always wanting to participate. She wouldn't come because she didn't want the goal to change, she wanted everyone to think of the victims." The theme song SUCCUMB NOT TO PAIN was accused of copying a Korean song. Chi Wai said it was impossible. "The song was based on a poem, it was very hard to find a song that matched the poem. Tang Chi Wai didn't sleep or rest and worked for a day and a half without sleep. Such accusation was very unfair to him."

Chan Mei Ling was very concerned with the nuclear crisis after the Japan earthquake. She said, "It's very serious, so far nothing has improved. If all goes well it will take several months to repair. It may take several years." She worried the most about the Japanese people who lived near the nuclear power plant. "I don't know what to do, not only did they have earthquake and tsunami, the situation was very severe." Would Chi Wai send any artists to shoot videos at the disaster area? He said, "I don't plan to just yet. I have to keep artist and safety issues in mind. Now it's inconvenient to go." Chan Mei Ling agreed, "Now the disaster area remained very intense. If too many people went they would cause traffic problems. The disaster area's food and water remained lacking."

At the event show business would have no differences and no borders to cheer for the Japanese people and at the same time urged the people of Hong Kong to donate and help the Japanese disaster victims. All the donations after expenses will be donated to the international charity group Salvation Army.

Many electronic media including TVB, ATV, and now Hong Kong will broadcast the event live. TVB even arranged for broadcast over four channels. However ATV will only broadcast it on its High Definition channel while the Hong Kong station will continue its usual schedule. According to ATV, they did so only because the pictures would be clearer and keeping different types of viewers in mind.

In addition, TVB's SCOOP and special program THE JADE AND THE PEARL was fined over HK$160,000 for indirectly promoting the film THE JADE AND THE PEARL. The 72 TENANTS OF PROSPERITY (72 GA JO HAT) promotional program was also fined as well. TVB expressed deep regret over the two fines. TVB's Tsang Sing Ming said although the Broadcast Authority had procedure for TVB to complain to the Chief Executive and the Legislative Council about the verdict, the procedure was complex and required a lot of resources. Thus it could only helplessly accept the verdict, but it asked the Broadcast Authority to strength communication to keep similar situations from appearing again.

The film HI, FIDELITY (CHOOK GWAI DIK NUI YUN) two nights ago held a premiere. Stars Carrie Ng Ka Lai, Pat Ha Man Jik, Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen), George Lam Chi Cheung, William Chan Wai Ting and others attended. Other guests included Dada Chen Jing, Lam Man Chung and Rose Chan Ka Hung. At the event Chan Wai Ting presented flowers to the three leads and a bottle of wine to director Poon Yuen Leung.

Lam Chi Cheung has never made many movies so he looked forward to this film. He just returned from overseas and fortunately was able to make it to the premiere. As for why he did not bring his wife Sally Yeh (Yip Sin Man), he pointed out that his wife liked to watch men movies, he on the other hand liked to watch women movies. In the film he played Ha Man Jik's husband. They did not have any intimate scene. He praised Ha Man Jik as very amazing. Although she has not acted in a long time, as soon as she was on the mark she could be very emotional. He believed that she must have been starving for a long time as her acting bug was showing. He himself loved to guest star because he had time to sleep.

Chan Wai Ting two nights ago also watched his own performance for the first time. He hoped to take his girlfriend Charlene Choi Cheuk Ying secretly to the movies later. Earlier he participated in the Super New Star contest but lost. He honestly said that he was somewhat disappointed, luckily this night he had the premiere to bring up his mood.

Andy Lau Tak Wa's New Year Night concert invited Sandra Ng Kwan Yu and George Lam Chi Cheung as guests. Kwan Yu openly felt Wa Jai's six pack abs in front of over 10,000 viewers and joked that she had to "stamp collect" him. Ah Lam meanwhile came to collect a debt from Wa Jai.

Kwan Yu not only sang for Wa Jai but also display her comedy skills. She joked, "I really want to 'collect' you in front of 20,000 viewers. Last year the philatelic female star caused a storm in the city. I clarified that this person wasn't me, but today I really want to feel your six pack abs." Wa Jai satisfied her "beastly lust".

Kwan Yu also complained about how hard it was to get a ticket to the concert. She said, "The old man and the little brother both asked me to get tickets, but Wa Jai said that even he only had 12 tickets of the final show and could only give me five. My entire family has six people, so tonight I can only come up and let people see me!" Kwan Yu also revealed how thrifty Wa Jai was. "He only has one assistant, one car, only lives in a 1,000 square foot home, actually what are you leaving the money for? Why don't you leave some for me, I want to 'collect' your life saving!" Wa Jai pretended to be mad, took off his shoe and pretended to throw it at her. Kwan Yu joked, "Wow wow wow, have you seen Wa Jai's toes? It's a very rare opportunity!"

Ah Lam was Wa Jai's music benefactor. The first time he saw Wa Jai was as a dancer in a music video. He already thought this fat kid was pretty cute; then in 1982 while working on a movie in Hainan he told Wa Jai to try singing. Ah Lam said, "Wa Jai at the time said, if he really could, he could give me 40 cents out of every dollar he made. Do you remember? How many years have you been a singing star? You owe me so much, the math is worth doing!" Wa Jai said, "Really? Then from now on the money I make from singing, I give 40 bucks to Sister Deanie (Ip Tak Han), 40 bucks to you and 20 bucks for home!"

"Film Fan Princess" Connie Chan Bo Chu two nights ago appeared at Andy Lau Unforgettable Concert. Bo Chu fans already swept up the tickets long ago to invade the Hong Kong Coliseum, but they never expected Wa Jai to be a Bo Chu fan. When Wa Jai introduced Bo Chu he said, "She is my beloved idol, but later I become her son's idol!"

Later Bo Chu appeared with her son Yeung Tin King, and the cheer at the Hong Kong Coliseum was like thunder. Wa Jai continued, "I remember when I was little I already watched Sister Bo Chu's movies. At the time I lived in Hong Lok Yuen. Once Sister Bo Chu came and finally I was able to catch a glimpse of my idol!" A shaky Yeung Tin King said to Wa Jai, "You are my idol too, I have seen all your movies and heard all your songs!" Wa Jai saw how nervous he was and comforted him, "You don't need to say more! I felt how you feel a long time ago!" Wa Jai then embraced Bo Chu and said, "Back then when I invited Sister Bo Chu to be my guest, she said no. However actually this song can truly represent her!" Sister Bo Chu was very humble and said that her singing was in a kindergarten level, then she with her son sang STAR. Perhaps because Tin King was a Wa Jai super fan, his singing had a "Lau Wa" tune.

Karen Mok Man Wai two nights ago appeared in a polka dot tank top and a short dress, immediately rising the temperature at the venue. When she sang HEART SOURING LOVE SONG with Wa Jai they even danced intimately and wildly. Karen said, "Every time I run into Wa Jai on stage, I can turn very wild. The polka dots that I wear today represent love and caring."

After Lam Chi Cheung's memory test, Karen also tried the same trick. Luckily she did not come to collect any debt, but to take the chance to sing Wa Jai's praises. "Do you remember 18 years ago what you said to me?" Wa Jai frowned, "You are asking if I remember too?" Karen said, "Seemingly I don't remember, you left love everywhere (Wa Jai joked that actually he was not Lau Wa, but Lau Ching)......I remember when I just started in 1993, I was a complete unknown. Yet at a music award post celebration, Heavenly King Lau actually came to me and whispered in my ear, 'You keep it up, you can do it'. Do you know that those words were more important than any award, I would thank Wa Jai for a lifetime!"
