Shu Qi and Shawn Yue Man Lok yesterday promoted their film THE SECOND WOMAN (CHING MAI) in Tsuen Wan.  Because Shu Qi played twins in the film, the event arranged for two pairs of twins to play games.

Shu Qi said that her father and uncle were twins, thus she had a chance to have twins.  Actually she would be rather happy to have two at once.  As for when, Shu Qi said that she wanted to pass the plan to her younger brother as she would have to wait until she was with someone.  When rumored boyfriend Wang Leehom was mentioned, Shu Qi said, "This is ancient history, you ask and ask again, spread and spread again, I am bothered even if you are not.  (Didn't you go on vacation together?)  No, next question."  She mentioned online earlier that she was upset at her film LOVE being pirated, Shu Qi explained that only because she saw people watching the DVD on their computers she mentioned the advantages of going
to the movies.  It was not a big deal that it turned out to be.  Shu Qi said, "I am not upset, of course after working hard on a movie I want it to do well at the box office."

Lok Jai's other film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) will be released at the same time.  Was he worried about competing with himself?  Lok Jai joked that he was so busy with promotions that he was dizzy, everyday he had no idea even about where he was.

[2012.03.12] SHAWN YUE CALLS WORKING WITH MINI YANG GREAT

courtesy of takungpao.com

Yesterday, Hong Kong director Pang Ho Cheung brought the flavorful romantic comedy LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) to Shenzhen and held an advanced screening.  After the show lead actor Shawn Yue Man Lok arrived in support and admitted that he liked Mini Yang Mi's flight attendant look in the film very much.  The kiss scene with Beijing girl Yang Mi even made him feel bashful.  However, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa revealed earlier, "During the intimate scene, the director in order to demonstrate to Yang Mi even personally performed an ambiguous show with Yue Man Lok.  The passion was endless."

The "internet slang" dialogue in LOVE IN THE BUFF was very viewer friendly.  The ordinary film content even due to "Pang's heavy ingredient" additions was uniquely savory.  Yang Mi in the film played a post 90 flight attendant who not only had a busty hot pant performance but also an intellectual uniform look.  The four characters in the film represented four types of people in the romantic world.

Speaking of working with Yang Mi, Yue Man Lok had nothing but praise.  "Yang Mi's character has natural requirements, she has to meet those conditions to be able to play it.  Yang Mi's figure is great, her acting also adds color and brings life to this character."  Why would Chi Ming be attracted to Youyou?  Yue Man Lok joked, "Youyou in the film is the opposite of Chun Giu.  Her figure is great, she is younger than Chun Giu, these conditions would easily attract Cheung Chi Ming to her."

In the film, Pang Ho Cheung's romantic mottoes were endless. "You have to be mentally ready when you hang out, either you run into him or he runs into you"; "Life is so long, you are bound to fall for several scumbags"; "Some things don't need to be finished in one night.  Some thing won't happen again if you miss it tonight" and others all contain wisdom but are also viewer friendly.  Pang Ho Cheung has put this type of "art comes from life yet is higher than life" creative ideas in their original flavors into the film.

[2012.03.01] MIRIAM YEUNG BARES HER BACK TO TEMPT SHAWN YUE

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) at the end of March will be released.  Both leads Shawn Yue Man Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa looked forward to it very much.  The pregnant Yeung Chin Wa stated that on March 21 she definitely will "apply" to participate in the premiere with her husband.

Chin Wa in the film wore a revealing black dress, which Lok Jai joked that he would never imagine Chin Wa would wear.  In this scene Chin Wa met with her old flame Lok Jai.  He guessed that she would wear a low cut dress but it was a back baring dress that attracted his eyeballs.  This dress was Chin Wa's own.  She said that the team arranged many for her to try but she thought that Chun Giu wanted more, as she should be sexy yet not too deliberate.  She said, "I don't want to bare my chest since there isn't much to see.  So I brought my own dress.  Lok Jai's reaction proved that my decision was right!"

During the shoot they were very focused, except the Spanish dishes on the table distracted him.  Chin Wa and Lok Jai could not help themselves as they sat down and ate whenever the shoot stopped.  The team had to keep ordering to fill in the food that constantly disappeared in extreme speed.  In addition, when they shot in Beijing in one scene Chi Ming went out late with his co-workers; that day the director arranged for 200 extras, most of them were present because they liked director Pang Ho Cheung and knew that Yue Man Lok would be there when they automatically applied.  They were very focused during the shoot.  Instead Lok Jai who felt that he was no longer young was numb to going out at night.

As for Chin Wa who did not go out at night still had fun because she could work while applying a facial mask.  In one scene Chin Wa and her friends chatted while they applied facial masks and ate.

[2012.02.27] SHAWN YUE IS A SITE WITH NO OFFER

courtesy of mingpao.com

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok yesterday promoted the film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING).  Chin Wa and Ah Lok sat as they watched viewers play game.  Real Ting Chi Ko did not appear.  Reporters joked that Chin Wa could finally breathe freely, but Ah Lok cut in.  "She is always sneaking out to breathe freely."  Chin Wa explained, "Hubby is my mother in law, and it's not like the Hong Kong Coliseum with so many elevators."  She revealed that she just snuck in some fries.  Was she afraid that her husband would yell at her?  Chin Wa said, "People like to be sneaky with food, it's human nature."

Chin Wa looked prettier and chubbier, even Ah Lok said that she was much sharper.  Chin Wa heard Ah Lok's compliment and immediately urged Ah Lok to get a wife soon.  Actually Ah Lok asked Chin Wa to introduce girls to him, Chin Wa helplessly said, "I am pregnant now, matchmaking is inconvenient."

What is Ah Lok looking for in a mate?  He kept saying that he did not have any condition, but he kept nervously shaking his foot.  Chin Wa joked that he was not this nervous even for bed scenes.  Chin Wa believed that Ah Lok's condition was filial piety.  Earlier when they worked in Beijing, Ah Lok's mother came to visit.  She saw how attentive Ah Lok was to his mother.  Ah Lok immediately said to Chin Wa, "Like you would be the best."  Chin Wa replied, "Too bad you met me too late."

Because Chin Wa's friends were around her age, would Ah Lok mind being with an older woman?  He admitted, "I don't mind.  Remember to spread around that I am a good site slashing prices for sale and like long hair."  Did he want long legs?  Ah Lok did not answer and changed the subject to praise Chin Wa as a mother in law killer, as she was able to chat nonstop with his mother.  In this area she was very learned.

Did Ah Lok chase girls normally?  He joked, "At my age I can't move, I can't go to Central, not to mention four places in one night.  It's not good getting called Uncle when I get there."

[2012.02.24] MIRIAM YEUNG INSISTS ON PROMOTING LOVE IN THE BUFF

courtesy of on.cc

The 36th Hong Kong International Film Festival yesterday officially announced Miriam Yeung Chin Wa as its ambassador again.  She and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred in the Pang Ho Cheung directed new film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) will be the opening film and the closing film will be the Berlin Film Festival Best Cinematography Silver Bear Prize winner WHITE DEER PLAIN.  Director Peter Chan Ho Sun will be this year's Filmmaker in Focus.

Chin Wa, Ah Lok and Pang Ho Cheung yesterday attended the press conference in Tsim Sha Tsui.  Peter Lam Kin Ngok and Hong Kong International Film Festival Association chair Wong Ying Wai also attended.

Chin Wa revealed that she was over six months pregnant and so far she has gained 16 to 17 pounds.  Her husband Real Ting Chi Ko was no longer as "follow around hubby" but now she started to have sciatic nerve
pain.  Thus she had difficulty going out with friends.  After attending tomorrow's event, the film opening ceremony and LOVE IN THE BUFF premiere she will officially rest.  Since the LOVE production was very tough, she will persist no matter what.

Chin Wa said that lately she has been watching movies at home.  She did not have any taboo even with the kiss scene in LOVE IN THE BUFF because her child in the future will know her mother was an actor.  Chin
Wa said, "At most I would cover my legs if anything.  I am even watching the television series THE HIPPOCRATIC CRUSH (ON CALL 36 SIU SI) and am reminded of when I was a nurse.  It's pretty realistic, Ma Kwok Ming performs decently.  Right now I am like a canary!  (Have you pretend to roll around in bed?)  I don't sleep well, on the left I crush my heart and on the right my hip hurts.  The company doesn't dare to arrange too much work for me out of fear that I would doze off."

Lok Jai joked that promoting with Chin Wa was rather stressful because he was very worried that she would constantly go to the bathroom, vomit from the pregnancy or even giving birth on the spot.  Has Mr. Ting asked him to take care of her more?  Lok Jai said that went without saying.  He and the director would take care of her.  Seeing Chin Wa overflowing with happiness, has he been tempting to start his own family?
Lok Jai said, "No, who can be as happy as she is.  I really want her to spare me some.  She doesn't need peach blossom, every time you mention I sigh.  When you use up all the peach blossom you wither.  (Have you hidden any and not talk about it?)  I haven't, I am thirty something, if I have I would talk about it."  Lok Jai also said that he has not considered girls of other nationalities.  He was very nervous about his mother communicating with her, so he would like to find someone who spoke the same language.  If they had nothing to talk about it would be quite a bother, as he in the future would like to live with his family.

[2012.02.10] MIRIAM YEUNG WISHES FOR VALENTINE'S DAY SURPRISE

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Shawn Yue Man Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa earlier worked on Valentine's Day card photos for LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU) sequel LOVE IN THE BUFF.  They had different impressions of Valentine's Day.  Chin Wa said that as long as her husband was by her side, everyday was Valentine's Day.  Lok Jai said that he would have to work on Valentine's Day so he could not sense the holiday atmosphere anyway.  On the day of the shoot they waved props around on the set.  Chin Wa had a lot of fun, but Lok Jai was very uneasy.  Lok Jai was very afraid of affecting Chin Wa's Dragon baby did not dare to make any sudden move.  Chin Wa however had a lot of fun and made a variety of poses.  Lok Jai however still kept his distance from her.

They picked up flowers for a photo and planned to create Valentine's Day atmosphere.  When Chin Wa picked up flowers she was even bashful, but Lok Jai wielded them like swords.  Would Lok Jai give flowers on Valentine's Day?  He admitted that flowers were very outdated.  He was very afraid of giving flowers.  Even when he did he would not just give random flowers.  He hoped to have a more unique way to express his love.  This year was the first Valentine's Day Chin Wa would spend with her baby.  She said that she would have to make proper arrangements that day, but her husband might surprise her.  Lok Jai said that now work came first, on Valentine's Day he would be working in the Mainland.

[2012.02.03] SHAWN YUE HAS FUN WITH PREGNANT MIRIAM YEUNG

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok and director Pang Ho Cheung yesterday promoted their film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) with a Mainland media interview.  Chin Wa's birthday was on February 3, the crew prepared a birthday cake and gave her a pleasant surprise.  Chin Wa immediately made a wish and cut the cake, but she did not reveal what the wish was.

Carrying a dragon baby Chin Wa became the focus of the interview.  When asked whether she liked a boy or a girl, she said it did not matter as she thought it being healthy would be the most important.  She also said that she was very nervous about this film.  As a workaholic, she would come out if she would be able to handle it.  Ah Lok said that he felt like he was lied to because during the shoot Chin Wa kept saying she was busy.  She had to work on the film, concert rehearsal and record promotion and said that she did not even have time to see her husband.  He did not expect her to on the mark, her (pregnancy) accuracy was truly too high.

Chin Wa explained that because her husband was young and they constantly exercised.  Pang Ho Cheung humorously joked, "What kind of exercise?"  Ah Lok added, "Where do you exercise?"  Chin Wa cracked up.  The director was asked whether he will make a movie about Chun Giu and Chi Ming as parents, Ah Lok said, "It should be made.  We should shoot it now and save it so nothing is wasted."

[2012.01.20] MIRIAM YEUNG HAS LUNAR NEW YEAR FUN AT THE EXPENSE OF SHAWN YUE

courtesy of singtao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred new film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) has already been scheduled for a March release.  They earlier shot a Lunar New Year special and even wrote Spring banners for the holiday.  Last year Lok Jai wrote "hundred shot hundred hit" to wish for Chin Wa's pregnancy in advance.  This year Chin Wa who confirmed the pregnancy said that she had to return the favor with "Married With Child" for Lok Jai, but Lok Jai heard about this "gift" and got a headache right away.  Then Lok Jai wrote "300 million box office" to wish for their new film to be a big hit.  Chin Wa still did not yield and planned to return her fortune.  Lok Jai immediately touched Chin Wa's belly and said, "Don't be like Mommy, she's bad!"  Finally Chin Wa wrote "Spring Wind Fulfills Wishes" and said to Lok Jai, "Spring Wind Fulfills Wishes means whatever you want you get, which is the most important to men!"

[2012.01.10] PREGNANT MIRIAM YEUNG PROMISES TO PROMOTE LOVE IN THE BUFF

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Pang Ho Cheung directed comedy romance LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) will be released simultaneously in the Mainland and Hong Kong late March.  This film continues the story of LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU).  After Chun Giu and Ji Ming's instant romance their relationship cooled down rapidly due to personality issues.  They even went to work in the Mainland on their own, both had "ideal mates" who appeared around them and made their romance even more complicated.  This time popular Mainland actors Mini Yang Mi and Xu Zheng joined the cast as Ji Ming and Chun Giu's second choices.

Currently pregnant, Chin Wa originally planned to be on her maternity leave.  Yet due to the film's promotional period, she set aside plans to take time off and hoped to complete all the film promotional work in her limited capacity.  Chin Wa pointed out that if her health would permit she would return work, including the film's March promotions in Hong Kong and the Mainland.  Shawn Yue Man Lok said that if the film would have a third installment, it could directly say Chin Wa was with child and her baby would be able to guest star in its first film.  Two versions of film posters have already been unveiled.  Pang Ho Cheung leaned toward the Chun Giu and Ji Ming embrace posting and posted it online, which was retransmitted over 10,000 times, a strong first wave for the film promotion.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa immediately took time off after her concert last month.  Although Chin Wa was rumored to be pregnant, she never confirmed it.  Earlier her new film LOVE IN A BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING)'s team held a celebration for the completion of the film with Media Asia boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok, Chin Wa also attended.  Later leads Shawn Yue Man Lok and Yeung Chin Wa were interviewed.  Playing a couple in the film, off screen they kept trading verbal jabs for laughs.  With the director kept asking Chin Wa about her pregnancy rumors, Chin Wa did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

Ah Lok said as soon as he was in position for the interview, "Great, why are we so happy today?  We are celebrating Chin Wa's pregnancy, hahaha.  You better be careful, my mouth really stinks."  Chin Wa joked, "This isn't funny, today the director had a son, his son is 90 minutes long.  So everyone is celebrating."  Director Pang Ho Cheung said, "Today we are celebrating the completion of the production, but the post production has not been completed yet.  Now the most troublesome was too much comedy, the editing colleague said that it could be released in two parts because right now the film was longer than LORD OF THE RINGS."

Ah Lok joked, "Then are we getting paid for two movies?"  The director responded, "Of course not, be more mature.  Hahaha."  Chin Wa suddenly at this moment said that she had good news for the director.  Ah Lok said, "Huh, I really want to know, let's skip the interview.  Are you pregnant?"

Chin Wa hit Ah Lok and Ah Lok continued to joked, "You are so intense, can it be true?  Hahaha"  Then they opened bottles of champagne to celebrate.  Ah Lok who kept making fun of Chin Wa accidentally got champagne all over his pants, Chin Wa could not stop laughing.  Chin Wa only raised her glass and did not touch a drop.

Korean star Yun Eun-Hye yesterday attended the MCM all new satellite concept store opening ceremony and was the opening ceremony guest with Shawn Yue Man Lok.  Both wore leopard print to coordinate with the event theme.

Lok Jai admitted that he did not dare to look at Yun Eun-Hye.  Ah Lok earlier worked with Miriam Yeung Chin Wa on LOVE IN A BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING).  Chin Wa recently was rumored to be with child.  He immediately reacted, "It isn't mine!"  He also praised Chin Wa's husband Real Ting Chi Go as amazing as he hit it with one shot.  If it was true that he truly would have to congratulate her.  However he did not ask her about it as he thought it was just speculation.  However he urged Chin Wa to have a child soon.  He again praised, "Mr. Ting is truly very spectacular.  (Mr. Ting constantly trains his waist strength?)  Not only waist, health quality is also important."  Later BUFF will begin promotion.  Will he keep Chin Wa from working too hard?  He said, "I can't worry too much, I still need her to help with the promotion.  Actually she is very nervous about this film too."

[2011.10.18] JIM CHIM GETS SENTIMENTAL OVER RESTORATION

 courtesy of takungpao.com

Pang Ho Cheung's debut as a director ten years ago, the film YOU SHOOT I SHOOT (MAI HUNG PAK YUN) recently completed its digital restoration and was released on Blu Ray video.  Two nights ago it was screened in a cinema.

Jim Chim Shui Man after watching the digital restoration version was sentimental.  Chim Shui Man said, "A lot has changed over these ten years.  Back then still a DJ on Commercial Radio, Pang Ho Cheung approached me and said that he had a script to show me.  He also showed me his work.  He said that he would become a director soon.  After watching his work, I discovered that he was a mad man.  His work was very bloody.  I also discovered that he truly had some understanding of me.  Thus we very quickly agreed to work together."  He said that before making the film, few knew him.  Because of the film his popularity rose and even his income jumped.  Pang Ho Cheung said, "Now he is rich."

Pang Ho Cheung said that he always maintained as collaborative  relationship with Chim Shui man.  They recently worked together on the film LOVE IN A PUFF 2 (CHUN GIU YU JI MING).  Pang Ho Cheung responded to the audience that the film that he was the most dissatisfied with was EXODUS (CHOOK AI CUP GEI).  Without any line in the film Chim Shui Man joked, "He was the most dissatisfied so he banned me from speaking in the film."  Chim Shui Man hoped that he and Pang Ho Cheung would work together again, with him as the director and Pang Ho Cheung as the actor.

[2011.08.25] MIRIAM YEUNG COMPLAINS ABOUT DIRTY JOKES

courtesy of takungpao.com

Director Pang Ho Cheung, leads Shawn Yue Man Lok, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Mainland actors Xu Zheng and Angela Yang Mi yesterday attended the LOVE IN A PUFF 2 (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) wrap press conference. At the event everyone was full of witty remarks and cracked up the reporters on hand. LOVE after starting production in Hong Kong moved to Beijing for location shots. When asked about shooting in Beijing, Chin Wa pointed out that the director and Ah Lok kept telling dirty jokes on the set. "Yue Man Lok and the director kept laughing while shooting. They asked me to perform because I am old, otherwise they would only have two results, either they would get yelled at or she would just quit."

As for the rumored Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) performance, the director joked, "I never had the idea, but initially I asked Tom Cruise. He didn't have the time. I also asked Johnny Depp but his Chinese wasn't all that great. Finally I asked Teacher Xu Zheng." The bald Xu Zheng joked, "Aside from hairstyle, we are all the same type." The host asked Ah Lok in real life whether he would choose Chin Wa or Yang Mi as a girlfriend. The director answered for him. "I grew up overseas, under the Western influence I am more open minded. So I feel 3P would be decent." Yang Mi also said, "All four of us actors together would work too!" Ah Lok joked, "Why didn't you say something earlier? I waited for you to say that for a long time."

She said, "I am trying everyday, we have to see whether we can make one or not. They (Yue Man Lok and Pang Ho Cheung) are such bothers, always whispering and crackling. On the set they constantly tell dirty jokes." Yue Man Lok asked the director not to ask Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) to play the third party between them. Miriam Yeung Chin Wa attended as the film festival ambassador the unveiling of the the summer international film festival 2011. This year's opening film would be the Taiwan film YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE, director Giddens Ko (Gau Ba Doh)'s first film; the closing film would be the Woody Allen directed MIDNIGHT IN PARIS. Another animation live action film NINJA KIDS!!! will hold a Cosplay character costume contest.

Chin Wa is recovering from a flu so her voice was still a little hoarse during the interview. However she could not rest in the future because she had to perform a concert in Guangzhou and work on LOVE IN A PUFF 2 (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) for a month in Beijing. She revealed that August 11 would be her wedding anniversary. Because she will be working on a movie in Beijing, she hoped that her husband will make time from his busy business to celebrate with her. Chin Wa said, "I know he will come to keep my company, but right now he just pretends he doesn't know. That's how he is! (How do you plan to celebrate?) Actually I will be very satisfied if he will just bring soup. The best would having dinner with me." However Chin Wa honestly said that she did not prepare any wedding anniversary gift, only a good birthday gift for her husband.

In addition, Chin Wa's old flame Ronald Cheng Chung Kei recently became a father. However reportedly he only gave his fiancee and their baby 10,000 for living expenses. Chin Wa was asked whether he was as "cheap" as rumored. She said that she was not at liberty to discuss other people's family matter. As an entertainment news, she said, "He should be good to his wife and child because when he became a father he was very happy during the interviews. He has a sense of family responsibility!" Chin Wa also felt that outsiders should not know how much people pay for living expense so the matter was somewhat mysterious, the more she thought about it the more she laughed.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa yesterday attended her Ladies & Gentleman world tour Guangzhou stop press conference. This concert will take place at the end of the month in Guangzhou. When asked whether she would invite Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and his wife as guests, she immediately said, "What? We belong to different companies." She pointed out that the guest list was still under evaluation, perhaps she would invite Wilfred Lau Ho Lung.

Chin Wa revealed that her husband will attend with over 60 family members. That night will be a big night for her husband as well because July 31 will be his birthday. Chin Wa said that originally she invited a large group of friends to a party, but when they learned that she had a concert they decided to move the party to Guangzhou. Will she prepare any surprise for her husband? She said that she has always been the worst in this area and said that if the audience could say Happy Birthday with her to her husband then it will be good.

Chin Wa later will work on her new film LOVE IN A PUFF 2 (CHUN GIU YU JI MING). This time they will shoot in Beijing. Recently the Mainland began banning indoor smoking as well, so Mainland viewers should be able to relate. Will Chin Wa add her own story into the film? She said that she will not be so dumb, but she will be able to share some secret codes. Was Chin Wa looking forward to winning Best Actress the most? She said that the more you want something the more you do not get it. Earlier she lost her proposal ring, the second time that she has lost it. She secretly made another one that was exactly alike, but later she found it in the car. Two weeks ago she lost her own. Her husband yelled at her for half a hour. Two days ago she went to the movies, picked up a handbag and found it inside.

courtesy of takungpao.com

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa yesterday attended a spring charity flower show as the UNICEF ambassador. She promoted the auction that would donate the proceed to Mainland children.

According to a report, most Mainland investors choose to pair Mainland female artists with Hong Kong male artists on movies, in turn giving Hong Kong actresses less performance opportunities; Chin Wa said that they would not have no chance at all, but indeed now she has less opportunities than before. She said, when companies start production on a movie, if it is a co-production she has to line up. She joked, "I sometimes get there, but like the LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU) sequel I was considered able to save the 'baby'. I can perform a little better at mys post, but I can't control anything else. I hope the company would be able to fight for more opportunities." Many Mainland female artists were already worth several tens of millions, did she feel sorry for herself? She said, "Show business is not about sorry or not, I believe to each its own. Substance is value."

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Beijing city government organized 1st Beijing International Film Festival two nights ago held a grand opening ceremony at the National Grand Theater. Aside from the usual stars, the event also invited over 20 famous film festival chairs to be the opening ceremony guests in Beijing. Media Asia film boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok led a Hong Kong representative group and walked the red carpet with Media Asia representatives Leon Lai Ming and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa.

Lai Ming is currently working on his new film WHITE VENGEANCE in Hengdian and made the trip for the opening ceremony before returning to continue the shoot. Lai Ming said that the rising temperature made the shoot very tough, in particular his look had a face full of hair and very heavy costume. Thus it was rather tough. When asked about the Mainland film market that was growing stronger by the day, he said that China's film market was very large. Its direction internationally did not just start today. With such a grand event this time and so many film festival chairs in attendance, artists like them would benefit.

Last year with LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUNG GIU) Chin Wa won many awards. Two nights ago she ran into director John Woo (Ng Yu Sum) as soon as she arrived. She immediately asked for a photo together because she has always admired Director Ng. She would like to work with him. She said, "My deepest impression the director shooting Fat Gor (Chow Yun Fat)'s heroic character with two guns. I really hope to have a chance to such a cool character." As for the progress of the LOVE IN A PUFF sequel, she said that for now it will start production in mid July. In addition she has been busy with preparation for her Macao concert Saturday. Thus she could only look at the Peking duck. "I really want to eat Peking duck, but the schedule is too rushed. With the concert on the way I can only watch myself for my voice and to be in the best condition." She also said that this time she added three songs for the Macao audience so she hoped that they would be on time.
