Wu Chun and Han Geng earlier accepted TVB Entertainment News interview with Janice Cheung Won Chi to promote their new film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) and to discuss their most memorable moments from the production in detail.

Han Geng said that the film had especially many action scenes.  A dance expert since childhood, Han Geng has not studied dance in eight years and had to start over with kick training and such.  His muscles could not adjust.  After four days he suffered a thigh muscle tear, he was forced to give up his lower body training and focus on hand and sabre training.  He continued, during the action scene shoot he ran into Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon)'s hand injury.  He had to be extra careful during the fight scene to keep from injuring her worse.

Speaking of the intimate scene with Big S, he said that at the time Big S' husband was in the make up room so during the production he was very nervous.  Wu Chun joked that Big S' husband was only in the make up room but did not supervise.  Why would he be nervous?  Han Geng awkwardly said that speaking about the intimate scene now already had him sweating nervously again.  Then he praised Big S for her performance that was able to bring him into character.  Wu Chun said that the kiss scene with Annie Yee Nung Jing was a lot of fun!

In addition, Wu Chun and Han Geng both said that the missed the lunches that Sammo Hung Kam Bo personally made for the team.  When asked whether they learned to cook from Hung Kam Bo, they both said that they only knew how to enjoy it and could not learn Big Brother Hung's superb cooking skills.

[2011.09.16] WU CHUN AND HAN GENG FIGHT TO A RELATIONSHIP

courtesy of takungpao.com

Wu Chun, Han Geng and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred action film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) will soon be released.  In the film they played a pair of brothers.  Earlier they were even interviewed  together and talked about the joys and the pains of the production.

As soon as Wu Chun spoke he said it was very tough because he had to fight in every scene.  In many scenes he even had to use weapons to fight.  Han Geng chimed in and said that fighting in costume in particular was very uneasy.  Which one of them was a better fighter?  They looked at each other and laughed.  Han Geng mischievously said, "Both can fight, in the film."  Did they suffer any injury?  Wu Chun pointed out that minor injuries were definite, but none that hindered the production progress.  Han Geng also revealed that in one scene Wu Chun bruised his mouth.  Only then did Wu Chun remember and praised Han Geng's professionalism because after treating the wound he insisted on working.

Although they had emotional scenes with Big S, they did not have any rumor.  Instead Wu Chun and Han Geng to be "broke back" online in the Mainland, claiming that they hid in a room to cultivate their feelings.
Han Geng explained that before the shoot they went to a restaurant and booked a private room to dine and chat in order to understand each other, it was not living together in a room as rumored.  Wu Chun also clarified that although they stayed at the same hotel, they did not share a room.  However after working together they became good friends.  Han Geng took one look at Wu Chun and said, "I feel we are very similar, the same type of people.  We are both very introverted and don't say much.  We warm up slowly to strangers."

This time was Han Geng's first film.  He even received Big S's final kiss before her wedding.  He said, "Big S is quite a professional.  She didn't mind any problem like that.  The wedding didn't affect her."  He also said that if the character and the script called for it he would work on another kiss scene.  Did he catch the acting bug?  he said that this time he made a movie by chance but ultimately singing was his favorite.  If he had a chance to make a movie, he would still try again.

As for the memorable part of the production, Han Geng revealed that on one scene he worked for 72 hours.  With Wu Chun the Beijing Opera make up alone took two hours.  Wu Chun said that because he had to keep his mind on the martial art action as well as the Beijing Opera make up, and the high demands of the director, he could only do his best to coordinate with action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo.

Wu Chun and Han Geng not only put their martial arts on display but also performed a scene in which Han Geng put his head on Wu Chun's shoulder.  Han Geng said, "This scene had more bad takes than the fight

[2011.07.19] BEHIND THE TRAGEDY OF MY KINGDOM

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred, Sammo Hung Kam Bo action directed, Gao Xiaosong directed action romance MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) would have rarely seen behind the scene footage of Wu Chun releasing electricity and Han Geng practicing "blood spraying".

First time trying Beijing Opera, Wu Chun could not hide his excitement. Dressed in costume he kept making passes at the cameras. The solo performance was not enough fun for me as he often dragged Han Geng into his monkey act; for his first film Han Geng was very tough. For one short "blood spraying" scene he repeatedly practiced with water. The originally tragic blood spraying martial art actor turned into a comedy; marrying in a flash during the shoot, Big S in the film was very high spirited and her laughter was continuous.

Several young idols' lively energy infected others on the team. Hung Kam Bo not only personally taught Big S the lotus finger but also when he was in the mood with his demonstration he would even dance on the
set.

courtesy of singtao.com

Sammo Hung Kam Bo was the action director for the Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon), Yuen Biao, Annie Yi Nung Jing starred action film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN), which held a Shanghai Film Festival press conference. Hung Kam Bo personally led Han Geng, Wu Chun, Lu Chen and others. Big S also made an appearance.

The trailer was shown at the event. In the film everyone fought for the title of the "Best martial art actor". The event presented the title to Hung Kam Bo and publicly recognized him as the real "Great martial art actor". The Seven Little Fortune member Hung Kam Bo honestly said, MY KINGDOM was very meaningful to him; he pointed out that this was the first chance to display the brilliance of Beijing Opera martial art actors in his 40 years in film. Although Hung Kam Bo had 30 years of action directing experience, before the film even began he first went to
study in Tianjun Beijing Opera Academy for two months and spent a year to choreograph the action.

When the host asked everyone the most memorable moment of the shoot, everyone said "professionalism". Wu Chun revealed that in his fight with Yu Rongguang, Hung Kam Bo did not rest for three days straight. If he was too tired he would nap a little but immediately got up and taught again. Han Geng pointed out that once Hung Kam Bo was so tired that he fainted on the set. After awhile he woke up. Instead of going to the hospital he went directly back to keep shooting.

After the press conference, Han Geng, Wu Chun and Big S presented the Best Martial Art Actor plaque to Hung Kam Bo as everyone agreed that he was the real Great Martial Art Actor. Hung Kam Bo humbly said that he only did what he could. He pointed out that the qualification for a martial art actor was very simple -- tough. Martial art actors had total hip and leg training that was much tougher than general. The key was whether you had the determination.

Falling in love and getting married in a flash while working on MY KINGDOM, Big S studied Beijing Opera martial art since she was little and longed for the day to be able to use her skills on the big screen. This time in the film she played Shanghai's top martial art actress. Before the shoot, she almost quit due to an injury. At the time her right wrist was severely injured and did not obey her command. She could not even hold a sword. Hung Kam Bo permitted her to hold it with her left hand and designed a sequence that she could complete the action with. Hung Kam Bo pointed out that Big S was willing to take risks and do whatever it took. Her performance was good.

Han Geng earlier talked about his performance in the film HIS KINGDOM. He said that Sammo Hung Kam Bo taught me a lot of martial art technique. The crew even called him "live seafood" because he was so focused on his performance that he often would be bruised all over from the fights and not know about it. He said that acting was a childhood dream, now he finally has a chance to act it was a dream come true.

Andy Lau Tak Wa meets with Tsui Hark and Sammo Hung Kam Bo while in Beijing

courtesy of singtao.com

Andy Lau Tak Wa earlier appeared in China to provide his voice for the role of Cai E in FOUNDING OF A PARTY. Lau Tak Wa's four scenes all remained, the farewell scene between him and "Xiao Fengxian" Angelababy; in comparison to the rumored complete removal of the Tang Wei played Mao Zedong first love Tao Yi, the difference was heaven and earth.

The Han Sanping and Huang Jianxin directed, over 100 stars starred FOUNDING A PARTY currently in post production voice work. The director was not satisfied with all of the voice actors asked for Lau Tak Wa. Lau Tak Wa said, "In every movie, I hope to provide my own voice for the audience; but my Putonghua was very rotten. I am not confident about all the lines; this time I have fewer lines I am more confidence."

Speaking of co-star Angelababy who ran into the earthquake while working in Japan, Lau Tak Wa said, "I am busy with work lately and can only hear about the earthquake news online. However I know my friends are safe."

Lau Tak Wa three days ago appeared in Beijing to work on the Ann Hui On Wa directed TOH JEH (PEACH SISTER). Playing a film producer in the film, Wa Jai for more realism asked Tsui Hark and Sammo Hung Kam bo to guest star. They worked together earlier on the film DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK). This time both were there so Wa Jai asked them to play themselves as a director and an action director. In the film they had the local lamb delicacy and drank, anyone who did not know would think that they were catching up.

She thanked Manfred Wong (Man Jun) and director Raymond Yip Wai Man, as well as everyone for their support. She said, "This is a support. Many people have heard of my name because my entire family is in the movies. They feel I would have this gene. I am not certain that I have it or not, but definitely will work hard from a blank slate until I know how to." Ting Ting said that originally she was going to attend a celebration of a friend who will wed soon, but she had to take time to accept the award. As for her boyfriend Andy On Chi Kit and her, she said, "Since everyone ask so many times, we really have to have a serious talk." Ting Ting said that most of her friends were married with children. Earlier she borrowed her brother Nicholas Tse Ting Fung's son Lucas to attend a friend's gathering. She liked children very much and might be even crazier after having one.

Does Ting Ting's boyfriend like children? She said, "Earlier when we played with Quintus (Tse Ting Fung's second son), my boyfriend just held him up in the air. Suddenly Quintus threw up on his wrist, he was laughing and tumbling as he asked the maid to take care of him. You can imagine whether he likes children. She dedicated WITH LOVE to Sammo Hung Kam Bo who won an award. Yun Yi joked that she would recommend herself to directors for movies and said that she wanted to play a bitch. [2011.03.04] JENNIFER TSE REVEALS NICHOLAS TSE SENDING HER FLYING

courtesy of takungpao.com

Jennifer Tse Ting Ting two nights ago modeled a new spring and summer fashion line. She revealed that recently she has been busy with magazine cover and advertising. In May she will prepare for her new film but nothing has been set yet. Her new film with boyfriend Andy On Chi Kit and Sammo Hung Kam Bo will open in July. Recently Lucas finally made her big screen debut in Wong Jing's new film MO GA JI BO (PRICELESS TREASURE). Ting Ting thought that she was not at liberty to discuss anything on his behalf. Would she like to appear on screen with him? Ting Ting helpless said, "I won't answer anything about him. I can only say that I have always wanted to be in a movie with my brother and my parents. I believe it definitely will be great, but my parents seem to be retired from film."

Ting Ting revealed that her July film will require fighting. She said that of course she was no match for her brother Nicholas Tse Ting Fung. Actually she would practice with him when she had time. Suddenly Ting Ting revealed, "However I remember when I was little my brother picked on me. With one punch he sent me flying. I felt myself taking off. When I opened my eyes Brother has always become very small and very far. I was short too and Brother didn't hold back, so I had a bruise around my ribs. I immediately told Papa because at the time I had to be coaxed." Ting Ting said that after Ting Fung became a father he has become more patient.

Although she worked with her boyfriend this time, they had no fight scene at all. When will he become an on screen couple? Ting Ting joked that she would like to make a fight film with her boyfriend because in real life they would not fight at all. Reporters joked that On Chi Kit did not dare to fight back. Ting Ting said, "He definitely doesn't dare, guys would hold back against girls. When Brother was little he would pretend to be in pain when I hit him. My boyfriend can break the punching bag that Brother uses for practice."

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred MY KINGDOM had a fight scene between Wu Chun and Han Geng. Under Big Brother Sammo Hung Kam Bo's instructions they fought like they were "counterfeit Donnie Yen Chi Tan".

Hung Kam Bo gave hands on instructions to Han Geng and Wu Chun and even personally demonstrated the fight moves. He also demonstrated all the expressions that went along with the action, like training Yen Chi Tan he instructed the martial art new comers. Reportedly the fight scene took over 50 hours to shoot. Because this scene was rather dangerous, Big Brother and the stunt team repeatedly rehearsed a dozen or so times before permitting Wu Chun to personally perform.

After Big Brother's hellish training and Sammo Hung stuntman association's 24 hour personal training, Wu Chun and Han Geng before the action scene already sparred and rehearsed to memorize their moves. In the film Han Geng with a dagger in hand had to remember the moves and steps as well as avoiding injuring himself and Wu Chun. Wu Chun had to put on wires. When Han Geng kicked him down the stairs they needed coordination to be able to complete. Wu Chun and Han Geng were on the wires for two days, shoulders and arms due to long time fighting were covered in bruises and scars. Yet their professionalism touched Big Brother a lot.

Sammo, Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and others formed Seven Little Fortunes and were the pillars of the 80s Hong Kong kung fu films. This time the script moved Sammo to relive the Beijing Opera nostalgia of his youth, as he invited junior colleague Yuen Biao to play Wu Chun and Han Geng's mentor -- top martial art actor Yu Sing Ying. The brothers were particularly focused in studying martial arts on and off screen. As for Yu Rongguang he was famous Beijing Opera performer Yu Mingkui's son. Since childhood he studied to be a martial art actor for over a dozen years. This time he played Big S' mentor Yue Jiangtian, famous martial art actor of Beijing. For the two major martial art actors' duel, Sammo personally rehearsed with Yuen Biao and Yu Rongguang. The trio held nothing back as they wielded their weapons.

courtesy of singtao.com

Andy On Chi Kit has participated in many action films and solidified his martial art master image. Yet, Andy privately was rather mild mannered and even very attentive to his girlfriend Jennifer Tse Ting Ting. Fashion wise, Andy obeyed his girlfriend exactly. Although he knew that his girlfriend was covered in wounds due to her martial art lessons, Andy still did not stop her from continuing her practice. He would only secretly worry about her.

Andy has been busy with many action films. After working with martial art superstar Donnie Yen Chi Tan, lately he even had to fight with Sammo Hung Kam Bo on screen. "Being able to work on fight scenes with them was truly incredible to me. When I was young I secretly learned from Jackie Chan's kung fu films so I feel even more excited."

Ting Ting lately has been practicing martial art because of her action film. She also has publicly said that her boyfriend was obviously displease. Andy explained, "I didn't object to her learning kung fu. Even when she was injured and didn't tell me, I was very understanding. Whatever she needs she doesn't have to even speak I would very naturally give to him. We get along very great."

Andy Lau Tak Wa in the new film DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK) not only had scenes that many looked forward to with Carina Lau Ka Ling and Li Bingbing, but also an intense fight scene with Tony Leung Ka Fai as Wa Jai fought Ka Fai while hanging on a horse.

In the story Di Renjie and good friend Sha Tuo fought due to a misunderstanding. They even had to fight from the open air stupa to the horse. Action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo designed many wire action scenes for Wa Jai, one of which that carried him to the top of the stupa then he had to run. In the beginning Wa Jai already accidentally hit into the prop on top of the stupa, his mouth and chin were bruised and bloodied. Luckily his injury was not too severe! In another scene Wa Jai had to stand on two thin bamboos to fend off many. Wa Jai said, "At first I wasn't at ease because the bamboos were poking at the bottom of my feet. They felt like pressure point massage and somewhat difficult."

The toughest part of the shoot that both Wa Jai and Ka Fai agreed on was the fight on the horse. In the story they kept fighting on the horses. Wa Jai even had to hang on the horse with his legs to duel Ka Fai. Because the horses were running very fast, Wa Jai was upside down on the horse and had a little motion sickness.

When Hung Kam Bo continuously told Ka Fai to kick Wa Jai, Wa Jai thought, "If we switch characters then it would be great!......haha......just joking!"

Andy Lau Tak Wa, Li Bingbing, and Carina Lau Ka Ling with big director Tsui Hark's imagination have already made the big budget production DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK) very attractive. As "ancient Sherlock Holmes" Lau Tak Wa described "Wu Zetian" Lau Ka LIng's performance was a return to form and that this film was the director's comeback work to wuxia films. Li Bingbing pointed out that a Wa Jai seduction scene would become the focus.

Lau Tak Wa and Li Bingbing two days ago talked about the production. Wa Jai played the "ancient Sherlock Holmes" Di Renjie, in the film he not only had to investigate a case but also had many action scenes. The director Tsui Hark asked his "bone think" Di Renji early in the shoot to shave his eyebrows. Wa Jai said, "I am not so noble. Back then when I had to dress up as a woman in RUNNING OUT OF TIME (UM JIN), (Johnnie) To Kei Fung wanted me to pluck my eyebrows and said they would grow up. However now they haven't grown back where they should and where they did they did not look good. Now everyday I have to pluck my brows." Wa Jai pointed out that Tsui Hark was known for his imagination, as he thought that ancient people might have brow tattoos he asked him to try. Finally Wa Jai only agreed to let him draw on his brows. Finally Tsui Hark did not feel they looked good. Wa Jai joked, "Luckily I didn't let me shave my brows, otherwise after the shave I wouldn't know what to do if he said it wasn't good." Wa Jai stated that he did not ask for much in terms of image. He just did not want to wear a scalp cap as he thought it would be too fake.

Wa Jai stated that although Tsui Hark was imaginative, everyday at work with him was like a lesson. Tsui Hark was like a professor. Wa Jai pointed out that this film aside from the attractive visual designs was also Tsui Hark return to true form. In recent years Tsui Hark has made many modern films and many felt that his movies did not have any wuxia flavor. Tsui Hark himself was once confused. This time the spotlight was on how Tsui Hark controlled this film. In the film Wa Jai had many action scenes. Action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo hoped it would be different from IP MAN 2 and designed many strange moves. He himself was only half trained so he was only able to perform 80% of the kung fu. Wa Jai also recommended the "ghost city" scene in the film. Wa Jai pointed out that the location was a cave with water. They shot there for six weeks but still did not complete. Everyday he and Bingbing had to ride a rubber raft there. The crew also put them on wires in case they fell into the water during the shoot. Wa Jai said that Tsui Hark fell into the water three times.

Wa Jai and Li Bingbing worked together for the third time after CAT AND MOUSE (LO SHU OI SEUNG MAU) and A WORLD WITHOUT THIEVES (TIN HA MO CHAK). Looking back at seven years ago when he first saw Bingbing on the set, Wa Jai said, "She is just as agile as back then, Even someone as agile as Lau Tak Wa still can't dodge her." Bingbing jokingly claimed that she was a "dumb kid". "When everyone saw Wa Jai taking a beating from me they wanted to laugh but didn't dare to. They were afraid that Wa Jai would get mad." Bingbing also pointed out that the Wa Jai seduction scene would be the entire film's "bright spot". Wa Jai claimed that Bingbing was even more tempting than in THE MESSAGE. Wa Jai also pointed out that originally the set was asked to be cleared but in the end 20 some workers were still on the set. Did they show a lot? Bingbing joked that Wa Jai did and praised his great figure. Wa Jai joked, "I have always thought that she had to strip, but in the end I had to too. At the time I didn't have any special training so the figure was less than perfect." Although their lips were sealed and reluctant to reveal more about the "seduction" scene, Bingbing honestly said that she did not dare to seduce anyone. This time she was able to try it in the film, which truly was fun.

Bingbing longed to work with Wa Jai on a romance like LOOK FOR A STAR (YAU LUNG HEI FUNG) and would rather be romantic with Wa Jai than fight. She praised Wa jai's character iN LOOK was truly too likable. They also had many scenes with "Wu Zetian" Lau Ka Ling. Wa Jai stated that after years without working together, he praised Ka Ling's performance as very dominating. Wa Jai said, "We can't imagine what happened in her life. This time she took her attitude, a type of seen it all attitude and put in on this character of Wu Zetian. She seemed to
expect everyone, it was a return to form performance." Li Bingbing worked with Lau Ka Ling for the first time but earlier they dined together. She felt that Ka Ling really knew how to take care of people and was a great person and a hard working actress. When she saw Ka Ling in heavy costume and head dress, it was quite a hard time.
