The fresh out of the oven Best Actress Carina Lau Ka Ling and Best Actor Nicholas Tse Ting Fung after the Hong Kong Film Award attended the Emperor Motion Picture celebration. First time Best Actress Ka Ling had quite a flair, saying that she would put her husband Tony Leung Chiu Wai's award to the side and put her Best Actress award in the center. Ting Fung rushed home after interviews at the celebration, perhaps he was in a hurry to celebrate with his wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi.
The 30th Hong Kong Film Award two nights ago ended at the Cultural Center. DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK)'s first time Best Actress Lau Ka Ling STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN)'s first time Best Actor Tse Ting Fung posed for photos together backstage. Ka Ling even received her husband's flower delivery, which melted Ka Ling and left her very touched.

Two nights ago ATV broadcast Hong Kong Film Award while TVB aired the GRACE UNDER FIRE (NUI KUEN) finale. According to TVB announced ratings, GRACE UNDER FIRE's highest rating was 34 point and average rating was 32 point. Hong Kong Film Award's average rating was 7 point and highest rating was 10; however ATV was dissatisfied with the rating result and thought that TVB never changing 650 household sample was unreliable. ATV public relations department even questioned whether the competition could trust a report that TVB paid for. Whenever ATV had good programs someone would bring "false" rating reports to strike at ATV, which would only move ATV more forward and innovate to give viewers more choices. With ATV broadcast of the Hong Kong Film Award, TVB no longer has power to monopolize all important programs and the age of monopoly has ended. Next week, ATV will announce the Hong Kong University rating survey about the Hong Kong Film Award. TVB said that the 650 household sample was the only recognized report for television stations and advertisers alike, TVB was not the only client. If the information was false, ATV should directly reflect to the authorities.
